Must Haves:

The Role
The Director of Marketing is responsible for the strategic leadership of all marketing operations and functions for 2 burgeoning and complementary- but distinct- brands with multiple sales channels. This role is responsible for synergizing all marketing functions including strategy, branding, digital marketing, advertising, social media strategies, public relations, responsibility for sales objectives, managing the department budget, and supporting and empowering our marketing team.
The Director will work with our Leadership team to establish strategic initiatives and determine the proper marketing direction and implementation, while leading the marketing team to optimize their individual and collective strengths to support the successful growth of our organization. Daily tasks will vary between strategy and planning, operationalizing resources, building partnerships, mentoring the team, and supporting executional processes that are required to achieve objectives.
What You’ll Do
Marketing Strategy Development and Execution:
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies in collaboration with Leadership and Marketing teams to align with organizational goals and objectives, drive strategic marketing and sales initiatives, and exceed sales targets to positively impact client value delivery, and grow sales and market share
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and identify new opportunities
- Understand and optimize a global marketing plan that includes both established and emerging markets
- Conceptualize and implement cross-channel integrated campaigns to drive engagement, build brand awareness, and achieve customer goals
- Ensure a high level of client value delivery through a deep understanding of client’s needs, values and opportunities excellent relationships
- Lead the marketing program budget allocation and oversee performance of campaigns to monitor user acquisition and engagement to drive insights for future program and marketing optimizations
- Effectively manage relationships and opportunities with PR specialists while growing positive public and community relations
Leadership and Team Management:
- Model company values in all actions, communications, and decision-making, including a genuine commitment to equity, inclusion, and compassion for others
- Optimize the strategic and day-to-day operations of the Marketing team
- Build and grow Buddha Jewelry’s Marketing team and departmental foundations
- Lead, motivate, and manage the Marketing team to achieve individual and team sales goals and KPIs, providing consistent coaching, mentorship, and growth opportunities while encouraging their empowerment
- Lead efforts to innovate and enhance marketing efforts and capabilities with a scale and growth mindset
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of our products and ensure effective communication of product features and benefits in all customer touch points
Data Analysis and Performance Tracking:
- Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data, including sales data and market trends, to manage brand positioning and drive strategic recommendations
- Use data-driven insights to monitor marketing performance metrics and inform decision-making, preparing regular reports for senior leadership
- Manage and allocate the marketing budget effectively to maximize ROI
- Ensure that all marketing activities are conducted in compliance with industry regulations, company policy and cultural values
Collaboration:
- Establish partnerships to increase sales and collaborate with media platforms
- Work closely with the Sales, Leadership and Production teams to align sales and marketing strategies
- Collaborate with the product development team to provide customer feedback and insights
- Work with the HR Manager to develop and manage employer branding
- Participate in industry events and trade shows to increase our brand awareness and brand affinity while expanding reach and sales in current and future markets.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of Marketing Management Experience: Forward-thinking leader with a proven track record of successfully leading a marketing team through significant growth, preferably in the fine jewelry industry or luxury goods sector
- Marketing Strategy Development: Demonstrated success developing, implementing and managing effective marketing, sales and client growth strategies across multiple channels to consistently meet and exceed goals; strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, customer engagement, the sales cycle, ecommerce sales
- 4+ Years of Team Management: Excellent leadership and team management skills, ability to establish trust with and inspire teams, experience managing creative teams including design, web production and copywriting
- Social Media Management: Demonstrated understanding of a chic, trendsetting, and engaging Social media experience, ensuring the content and delivery are on point using analytics, and managing the activities of the social media team
- Storytelling: Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand building
- Market Opportunity Analysis:Ability to assess and identify market opportunities and implement strategies to optimize those opportunities, strong understanding of global marketing strategies
- Superior Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Business Acumen and Judgement: Strong business acumen and decision making capabilities, ability to resolve challenges with innovation and sound judgment
- Multi-channel Management: Experience with multi-brand, multi-channel management; experience with marketing on a global scale is a big plus
- Brand Voice: Ability to switch between, and maintain, distinct brand voices for each company
- Technology Proficiency: High level understanding of Google Workspace, CRM software, social media platforms, e-commerce sales, digital marketing and advertising, online POS platforms and other industry specific technologies
- Education:Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, business administration or management, communications, or a related field
- Market Analysis: Ability to analyze sales data and identify market trends
- Leadership: Able to lead by example, providing and receiving meaningful and constructive feedback
- Passion for Progress: Embody a passion for progress, especially through process and procedural development

Physical Demands
- 100% on-site in Seattle, WA
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, up to 10%
- Able to remain in a stationary position about 50-75% of the time
- Able to occasionally move about inside the office to access necessary office equipment and resources
- Constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a scanner, copy machine, and printer.
- Ability to inspect, recognize, observe, assess, compare, detect, discern, and distinguish office resources, employee performance, necessary documents and reporting, and other organizational resources as needed
