The SIDI Specialist will be required to perform advanced troubleshooting, programming, scripting, and service analysis of systems and incorporated infrastructure utilized by the Avangrid Physical Security program. The position requires advanced working knowledge of computer OS, computer networking, and utilization of program specific user interfaces. The SIDI Specialist role is customer facing and embedded in the Security Technical Services team. The position interfaces with team leadership and program stakeholders daily.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to export and import data from/to various formats like delimited raw/text file, MS-Excel, XML, SQL Server, MS-Access, etc.
- Ability to transfer data between various servers and/or data sources.
- Ability to restore databases and individual tables upon request
- Perform project and task assignments provided by team leads and/or team management.
- Apply all technical training received on specific systems to live environments managed by the team.
- Maintain systems as directed by team leads and/or team management.
- Work closely with system manufacturer professional services and technical resources as required to ensure overall ecosystem health and program success
- Generate various reports as requested by team leads and/or team management.
- Cooperate and work in tandem with other team members in a highly sensitive, critical infrastructure environment to facilitate completion of project schedules and tasks.
- Make all adjustments or changes to systems as directed by the team leads and/or team management.
- Ensure all activities meet or exceed corporate commitments as they are assigned to role and team.
- Develop and maintain a "One Team Approach" within a multiple integrator team that is centrally managed and operates within a highly sensitive critical infrastructure environment.
- Follow all Security Technical Services team policies and procedures.
- Engage in a planned program of professional development, coordinated goals and responsibilities, and maintain continued growth in professional skills and knowledge essential to the position.
- Keep current with the latest technologies, support processes, and risk mitigation measures.
Requirements and Experience:
- Virtualization, Network, OS, and database knowledge – specifically SQL
- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
- Experience working with Windows Server, including Active Directory
- Experience working with Linux, Red Hat, and Ubuntu
- Experience working with Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience working with and writing SQL queries, analyzing query performance using query plans, and tuning query performance.
- Experience with C#, C++, Visual Basic or Visual Studio Preferred.
- Experience working with VMWare and VDIs
- Critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to rapid project changes.
- Provide on call support for critical production systems.
Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS in computer science or combination of equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in similarly held position
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work well and interact with other team members
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter and quick learner

- Keen attention to detail

Pay Range
$90,000—$110,000 USD
