JOB OVERVIEW: The Marketing Manager role at Hallman Lindsay & O’Leary Paints will be an integral part of the team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in building brand awareness, increasing customer engagement, and driving sales for both the Hallman Lindsay and O’Leary paint brands in Wisconsin and Michigan!
This role can be done remotely or hybrid. Our headquarters is in Madison, WI with retail stores throughout Wisconsin and Michigan. Some travel will be required both to the headquarters and to retail locations.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create a full-funnel integrated marketing program that focuses on building broad brand awareness and addresses every potential customer touch point across multiple customer types (paint contractors, homeowners, property managers, etc)
- Support the sales team to create individual store and market specific marketing programs
- Help to implement a modern marketing toolkit for the business
- Collaborate closely with store leaders, sales reps, and other company leaders to tie marketing programs to key company level goals
- Create brand guidelines that can be referenced and enforced to ensure consistency of brand presentation and messaging across customer touch points both digital and physical
- Manage, in collaboration with the sales team, a promotional calendar that is aligned with key sales objectives
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or design
- Several years of experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, or integrated marketing in a consumer business or agency
- A strong understanding of the modern marketing toolkit with hands on use experience – email, SMS, digital marketing, social media, modern ecommerce tools, etc
- You are both a strategist and a doer. You’re excited to come up with ideas and collaborate with peers, but equally excited about the successful execution and tracking of success
- You’re eager to learn about a new industry (paint) and willing to put in the work to become a category expert
- You have impeccable communication skills
- Some proficiency in design tools (photoshop, canva, etc) nice to have but not required
- Basic copywriting proficiency expected
- You’re excited to play an integral role in a new chapter for two longstanding businesses with deep brand heritage
- You can think analytically (understand cost inputs to ROI), but you are also creative and have a design sensibility
- A can do no detail or job is too small attitude
