The Opportunity
Egon Zehnder is seeking an experienced B2B marketing generalist to join their US team. This new role will report to the Head of US Marketing and will focus on supporting the execution of the US Marketing Strategy with an emphasis on events and partnerships.
The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of B2B marketing generalist experience with specific knowledge of integrated marketing practices around relationship building, including through in-person events and gatherings.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with the Head of US Marketing and Global Marketing Team providing marketing resources and support to US colleagues seeking guidance in developing trusted relationships with senior executives through brand, content, social media, partnerships, and/or events
- Work with Head of US Marketing, US Leadership, and other key stakeholders to understand competitive landscapes and contribute to business development strategy around marketing planning and positioning
- Work with US leadership to establish best KPIs for tracking ongoing activity, also optimizing digital tools to efficiently work with Global Marketing team to build comprehensive tracking for key metrics
- Evaluate opportunities for external partnerships and sponsorships and offer guidance to US colleagues on selection of sponsorship opportunities, including to specific regions or verticals
- Work with colleagues throughout the US to establish event planning best practices, socializing, and raising awareness of those practices to create a more consistent event experience and a measurable ROI.
- Serve as primary project manager and coordinator for larger, complex US-based marketing campaigns by providing guidance on marketing integration best practices and following up on support needs
- Oversee additional projects as necessary to ensure proper management and optimization of marketing investments as part of the overall go-to-market strategy for Egon Zehnder US.
- Collaborate with colleagues across digital, CX, and business development-focused disciplines to ensure that data and reporting from marketing activity supports other US growth initiatives at the Firm
Requirements
What We're Looking For
As this is a new role both within the US team and the Global Marketing team, the ideal candidate will be organized, resourceful, results-oriented, and adaptable to change. A curiosity for learning new marketing skills is beneficial while a previous background in coordinating in-person marketing events and gatherings is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years Generalist B2B Marketing Experience. Previous experience planning and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns is essential with specific emphasis on in-person events, content strategy, digital marketing, social media, and PR/comms
- Strong track record of collaboration - the ideal candidate will be a team player with proven success working with and influencing a broad cross-section of internal stakeholders on complex projects, ideally in a global or distributed environment.
- Project Management Experience - candidates should have previous experience coordinating and overseeing multiple projects with diverse stakeholders on a tight timeline.
- Digital and Data-Driven Experience - Candidates should have previous experience tracking activities via CRM and/or Marketing automation platforms and be able to think creatively and dynamically about how to improve and optimize reporting platforms
- Previous event planning experience - whether by way of conferences, trade shows, social events, or business development, candidate should have direct experience organizing and coordinating external events, optimizing experience for attendees, and promoting brand awareness through event activities
- Global citizen with sensitivity to culture, people, and styles, with an ability to flex accordingly for success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a B2B Professional services industries is a plus
- Exposure and experience working in global markets (or across global teams)
- Familiarity with event branding and brand development
