Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Search Engine Optimization Specialist at Hawthorn Creative. The SEO Specialist will be responsible for tasks such as keyword research, SEO audits, link building, web analytics, and on-page SEO to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic.
As an SEO Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the online presence and visibility of our agency clients. You will develop and execute SEO strategies tailored to the unique needs of hotels, resorts, and luxury businesses.
Qualifications
- Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify opportunities for organic growth within the hospitality industry.
- Develop and implement effective on-page SEO strategies, including optimizing website content, meta tags, and internal linking structures.
- Perform technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues that could impact website performance and rankings.
- Perform keyword research to identify high-value target keywords and phrases.
- Optimize website content, including meta tags, headings, and on-page elements, to improve organic search visibility.
- Monitor and analyze SEO performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console.
- Stay updated on SEO best practices, algorithm updates, and industry trends to ensure our strategies remain effective and compliant.
- Collaborate with content creators to optimize blog posts, landing pages, and other digital assets for search engines.
- Provide SEO insights and recommendations to clients based on data-driven analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Five or more years of experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role, preferably within the hospitality or travel industry.
- In-depth knowledge of SEO tools and techniques (e.g., SEMrush, Moz, AHREF, etc).
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) as well as leading edge tools and website platforms.
- Expert level knowledge of website analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Experience with local SEO strategies and multi-location businesses.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform strategy and measure performance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in SEO or Google Analytics.
- Knowledge of Google ads, paid social, and other digital marketing strategies.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, and web development tools.
