The Director of Product Marketing will be responsible for the strategic positioning, messaging, and promotion of a company's products or services to drive market success. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Walla’s products are effectively communicated to the market, resonate with target audiences, and ultimately drive revenue. This role requires a deep understanding of both the product and the market, as well as strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
You’ll be leading a small but mighty team responsible for the core positioning, messaging, and go-to-market of our Marketing solutions. You’re a leader who wants to establish a strong POV and voice that cuts through the noise in the fitness software landscape.

What You'll Be Doing:
Product Positioning and Messaging:
- Develop and articulate the unique value propositions of products, ensuring they stand out in the market.
- Create and refine messaging that resonates with target customer segments and aligns with the company's overall brand strategy.
Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Lead the development and execution of go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new product launches or feature updates.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and demand generation, to ensure a successful product launch.
Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Use insights from research to inform product development, marketing strategies, and positioning.
Sales Enablement:
- Develop and provide sales teams with the tools, resources, and training they need to effectively sell the products.
- Create sales collateral, including presentations, brochures, case studies, and competitive battle cards.
Product Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee the marketing aspects of a product's lifecycle, from pre-launch to post-launch phases, ensuring continued market relevance and demand.
- Work with product management to adjust marketing strategies as the product evolves or as market conditions change.
Customer Insights and Feedback:
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to understand how products are perceived and used in the market.
- Collaborate with product management to incorporate customer feedback into product development and improvement.
Demand Generation Collaboration:
- Partner with the demand generation team to create targeted marketing campaigns that drive product awareness, interest, and sales.
- Align product marketing efforts with broader marketing initiatives to ensure consistency and impact.
Metrics and Performance Analysis:
- Track and analyze the performance of product marketing efforts using key metrics, such as product adoption rates, customer acquisition costs, and customer lifetime value.
- Use data to refine marketing strategies and improve the effectiveness of future campaigns.
Thought Leadership and Content Creation:
- Develop thought leadership content, such as whitepapers, blog posts, and webinars, to establish the company and its products as leaders in the industry.
- Ensure that content aligns with product messaging and positioning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with various teams, including product management, sales, customer success, and engineering, to ensure that product marketing efforts are aligned with the company's overall goals.
What You Bring to the Team:
- 10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS product marketing roles
- Know what great work looks like – bringing in frameworks and playbooks for our team, while knowing when to create our own playbook to move fast
- Strategic mindset with the ability to derive insights from data for decision-making.
- Proven track record of taking strategic decisions and successfully executing them in a fast-moving environment.
- Superb stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.Unafraid of rolling up your sleeves and diving into the work, be it creating messaging, pitch decks, or other assets
- Experience directly managing and coaching individual contributors
- Love and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience in digital marketing or marketing automation software is a major plus.
- Deep understanding of the fitness industry and current software platforms that studios use
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong sense of accountability and initiative.
- Highly organized with exceptional time management skills.

The salary range for this role is between $130,000 - $160,000 DOE.
