We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and forward-thinking Brand Manager to join our team to help drive growth for our brands. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, consumer-centric, beauty enthusiast who has experience developing brands, annual marketing planning, and 360° campaign development to successfully drive growth. This individual is the ultimate brand champion in the marketing team leading and collaborating with cross-functional and external partners towards our aligned brand vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy:
- Support the development of brand strategies, aligning annual marketing plans with senior leadership and present to Sales and retail partners.
- Proactively identify emerging trends across consumer, salon, competitive, social conversation, and technology to inform product development
- Deeply understand our consumers to deliver insight led brand plans and communication campaigns.
- Analize market and competitive data (syndicated data, panel data, etc.) to guide brand strategy and drive revenue growth and share growth
Marketing Campaigns & Execution:
- Lead development of the annual marketing calendar, ensuring all key activations (launches, promos, events, etc.) are captured and kept up to date.
- Lead development of briefs that give focused direction to internal and external partners for marketing initiatives that build equity and deliver business results
- Drive the strategy and execution of 360° marketing campaigns, including launch toolkit development, and digital/social/retail support
- Oversee campaign execution across digital, social media, PR, and in-store activations.
- Ensure that all campaigns are executed on time, on strategy, and within budget.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to keep the brand innovative and cutting-edge.
- Develop programs and campaigns that enhance customer engagement and build long-term loyalty.
- Foster relationships with influencers (professional and consumer) and industry experts to drive brand advocacy.
Cross-functional Leadership:
- Partner closely with Sales, Education, Customer Marketing, Social eCommerce, and Creative to ensure cohesive brand visuals, messaging, and execution across channels.
- Partner with external agencies to ensure products and seasonal activations are planned and executed on schedule and within budget.
- Assist in leading cross-functional teams to bring campaigns and product innovations to market.
Brand Performance & Analysis:
- Own Brand P&L driving top line and bottom-line growth
- Analyze and report on brand performance metrics, consumer insights, and campaign results to optimize future strategies.
- Use data and market analysis to adjust marketing strategies and product offerings to meet business goals.
- Conduct post-mortem analysis of all marketing efforts, identifying successes and areas for improvement.
Budget Management & Tracking:
- Own and manage the marketing budget, ensuring invoices are submitted and approved on time and tracked.
- Work with finance on accruals and reallocations as needed.
- Ensure all campaign-related expenses are accounted for, staying within approved financial parameters for product launches, Limited Editions, and other key initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication or business, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in brand management, preferably within beauty or CPG.
- Proven track record of driving brand growth and executing successful marketing campaigns.
- Insight driven marketer with proven track record identifying consumer need gaps into growth opportunities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
- Experience in managing and tracking project-specific budgets, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time and within financial parameters.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for beauty, fashion, and staying ahead of industry trends.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Highly experience analyzing IRI and or Nielsen data.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in product development, integrated brand marketing, storytelling, and developing 360° campaigns.
- Experience working with retailers such as Ulta, Target, Walmart and Salon Centric as well as DTC.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable questioning the status quo in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Able to build influential and collaborative relationships across teams and functions and articulate a vision that inspires colleagues and customers alike.
