Slate is a new US Electric Vehicle company transforming the battery electric vehicle space.
What we are looking for:
As our Social Media Strategist you will lead social media strategy efforts for Slate and report directly to the Head of Social. We're looking for internet culture geeks, meme aficionados, TikTok natives, who love staying on top of the latest cultural phenomenon to inspire and create cool social content. This role will work collaboratively to develop innovative, best-in-class content within all social media and content platforms with a focus on business results, brand awareness/engagement. We are seeking a social media expert who can bring unexpected, interesting concepts and ideas to the table and execute with the broader marketing organization.

- Be an idea machine. Understand our brand ethos deeply and work with the marketing org to pitch and try out ideas and concepts that break through and build awareness.
- Embrace a test, learn, and optimize model to keep a flywheel of content running.
- Work cross functionally to develop the social media calendar inclusive of organic social, paid social, influencer partnerships, brand ambassadors and beyond.
- Brief the creative and social team on content keeping in mind messaging priorities, brand goals, target audience and platform behaviors.
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with our overall brand and marketing objectives.
- Work closely with creative and agency teams to create engaging and compelling social media content, including posts, videos, graphics, and other multimedia assets.
- Build and manage actionable reporting regularly. Tie reporting to business goals.
- Collaborate with Influencer Marketing Manager to integrate influencer plans into the broader social plan.
- Leverage social media listening tools to identify key themes and topics across social media channels and make recommendations to improve brand efforts, priorities, and investments.
- Develop community management guidelines in partnership with legal, social and community management team.
- Capture and analyze appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices; make recommendations for future campaign plans and report out to leadership and internal teams ensuring upwards visibility, as well as helping inform what metrics are valuable.
- Regularly report social trends, audience development and competitive brand insights to the team
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in social media or content strategy, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, best practices, algorithms, and trends.
- A passion for staying updated on emerging trends in social media and digital content creation.
- Experience with social media management tools (i.e., Khoros, Sprinklr, Brandwatch, etc), analytics platforms, and paid social advertising.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- A self-starter with a positive attitude.
- Willingness to come into the office a few days a week and travel to content creation shoots to collect social content.
Location
New York Remote is acceptable, but we prefer NY Metro (able to commute to NYC if needed).
Base Salary: New York wide $96,074.28 to $154,838.16.
