We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director of Marketing for our client, a leader in the overseas education and accommodation industry, to spearhead marketing efforts in China. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving growth through key paid marketing channels like Baidu, XHS, Douyin, and WeChat while boosting bookings and engagement. If you have deep expertise in the Chinese digital landscape and a proven track record of executing successful marketing campaigns, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy: Craft a comprehensive marketing plan tailored to the Chinese market, with a strong focus on paid channels, SEO, and community building.
Channel Optimization: Identify and optimize the best mix of marketing channels, including Baidu, XHS, Douyin, WeChat, and others, to drive bookings and conversions.
User Journey Improvement: Enhance the user journey across various digital platforms, including websites, apps, MiniPrograms, and social media, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
SEO Performance: Lead the charge on scaling organic growth through on-page and off-page SEO initiatives, improving search rankings and traffic.
Community Engagement: Build and maintain active, engaging communities on key social media platforms while collaborating with sales to convert interest into leads.
Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a marketing team of 10+ members, helping them understand local market dynamics and encouraging a "fail fast, learn faster" mentality.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, sales, partnerships, and operations teams to ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
Growth Marketing: Experiment with new growth marketing initiatives, scaling those that prove effective while constantly innovating.
Competitor Benchmarking: Analyze competitor performance and trends to ensure our client’s marketing strategies stay ahead of the curve.

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in marketing or strategy roles, preferably within the Study Abroad or Overseas Student Accommodation sectors.
Strong background in performance marketing with expertise in Baidu, Tieba, Douyin, XHS, and WeChat.
Proven experience managing marketing teams of 10+ people, with the ability to lead and drive results.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, startup-like environment (remote-friendly).
Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective digital marketing campaigns that drive measurable outcomes.
A strong creative vision with the ability to translate brand strategy into compelling online and offline marketing campaigns.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
Strong team player with outstanding collaboration and communication skills, able to work independently and cross-functionally.
