Job Description
Summary:
The Manager of Creative Services provides leadership, strategic thinking and technical expertise to create engaging print, video and digital assets. This role is critical for promoting, enhancing and protecting the Guthrie brand through every step of the patient journey.
The Creative Services Manager directs creative output from initial concept through production, collaborating with stakeholders to create a shared vision and leading the design team to complete projects.
This position reports to SPAM leadership (TBD).
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years in graphic design and video production.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Manages creative team through all phases of creative development, from concept to creation and completion, including creation of creative briefs and design concepts that meet strategic goals, business objectives and mission
- Maintains dynamic and effective creative that attracts and resonates with both potential and current patients and caregivers, while maintaining the organization’s brand image and guidelines
- Leads the design and production operations of all visual elements, including publications, infographics, signage and social content, that are deployed across digital, interactive and print
- Produces or selects photography that supports creative visually and strategically.
- Uses knowledge of current graphic design software and industry trends to produce graphic art and visual materials for promotions, advertisements, videos, packaging, and informative and instructional material through a variety of media outlets
- Leads video projects from concept to delivery, including vendor management, storyboard, design, animation, feedback, quality assurance and production
- Manages the quality and timely production of projects within defined budgets through internal sources and outside contractors. Selects and manages appropriate vendors, based on competitive cost comparison, customer service support, quality of production and on-time delivery of project.
- Serves as graphic design and brand management expert outside the department and a development resource to members within it, proposing new product offerings, strategies and concepts based on industry trends
- Manages the brand experience within Guthrie facilities. In collaboration with maintenance/facilities, ensures design and placement of permanent and temporary signage creates a professional, welcoming environment. Produces signage and other visual elements that guide patients to their destination.
- Develops policies and procedures relevant for brand management and the visual identity of the organization.
