Position Purpose: The Marketing Director is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and management of all marketing programs and initiatives in various platforms, media, and methods. This role is critical in driving marketing advancements that serve to increase sales and customer leads, foster client retention, and advance brand building and recognition in a way that supports company core values and long-term business development. This is a key leadership position responsible for providing tactical direction for a comprehensive marketing forecast which informs the company’s overall strategic plan.
Leadership Duties:
- Oversees departmental performance to ensure duties and goals are executed timely; identifies potential performance and execution roadblocks before they occur and provides solution options.
- Supervises the activities of all marketing staff; provides regular coaching and growth opportunities for employees to promote a culture of continuous improvement and development.
- Creates, maintains, and communicates departmental goals and metrics that align with and support the continued accomplishment of company goals.
- Serves as a member of Houston’s senior leadership team, collaborates with other senior leaders to build and maintain long-term marketing strategy that aligns with company core values and business development goals, balancing a growth focus for both employees and business.
Essential Functions or Duties:
- Develop, execute, and oversee long and short-term marketing roadmaps to support company sales growth and positive brand awareness.
- Manage, develop, and coordinate marketing and creative staff.
- Communicate business cases for marketing programs at the proposal stage and make recommendations on marketing campaign tactics.
- Direct social media engagement strategies.
- Partner and coordinate with the sales team to support effective sales strategies through the development of sales materials, campaigns, and market research.
- Analyze data to evaluate the success of marketing efforts and adjust approach to ensure effective, productive, and targeted marketing campaigns.
- Develop marketing strategies specifically designed to increase sales as well as brand recognition and exposure.
- Develop guides, templates, and marketing materials to meet objectives for all public-facing and internal communications, including print, digital, video, web-based media.
- Conceptualize and execute multichannel campaigns across the prospect and client lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging in all channels.
- Establish, monitor, and manage annual marketing budget.
- Gather customer and market data to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads.
- Conduct meetings and deliver presentations to internal and external teams about marketing concepts, programs, strategies, and budgets.

Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills
- Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing trends and opportunities in the B2B and foodservice or coffee channels.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
- Budget-management skills and proficiency.
- Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.
- Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, social media, etc. for the purpose of marketing.
- Experience developing successful marketing plans and campaigns.
- Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
- Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field is preferred.
- Minimum five years of marketing experience required.
- Minimum three years direct management experience required.
- Experience building complex marketing programs and reporting data-driven results.
- Proficiency using a CRM tool required, proficiency in Salesforce strongly preferred.
