Job Overview:
The Vice President of Marketing leads the marketing department and plays a key role in developing and executing a comprehensive marketing plan aligned with the company's business objectives. This individual will manage a diverse team, optimize marketing operations, and ensure effective collaboration across departments such as sales, product development, and customer support.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy:
- Create and implement a cohesive marketing strategy to increase brand awareness, market share, and customer loyalty
- Oversee marketing campaigns, product launches, promotions, and brand messaging across all channels (digital, social media, content, PR, etc.)
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities
- Ensure all marketing activities are consistent with the company’s brand positioning and objectives
Brand Management:
- Develop and maintain the company's brand image, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity across all marketing materials and touchpoints
- Drive brand positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences and differentiates the company from competitors
Digital Marketing and Lead Generation:
- Oversee the company’s digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, PPC, email marketing, and social media
- Lead efforts to generate qualified leads for the sales team, leveraging a data-driven approach to optimize marketing spend and customer acquisition costs (CAC)
- Stay current with digital marketing trends and technologies to ensure the company remains competitive
Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources
- Measure the ROI of marketing campaigns and initiatives, using data and analytics to inform decisions and optimize performance
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop financial forecasts and ensure alignment with overall business goals
Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Work closely with product, sales, and customer support teams to ensure marketing strategies align with business objectives and customer needs
- Support product development by providing customer insights and market trends
- Partner with the sales team to create and execute go-to-market strategies for new products and services
Public Relations and Communications:
- Oversee the company’s PR and media relations strategy, ensuring positive media coverage and crisis communication
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for marketing-related initiatives when necessary
- Develop internal communications that promote company values and culture
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience developing and executing successful marketing strategies
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, brand management, and lead generation
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large marketing teams
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in marketing analytics and reporting tools
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Knowledge of the latest marketing technologies and tools
- Experience marketing in a healthcare environment
