Digital Public Affairs Manager
Monument Advocacy is seeking candidates for a DIGITAL PUBLIC AFFAIRS MANAGER position based in the firm’s Washington, DC office. Monument is a nationally recognized consulting firm, focused on strategic communications, public affairs and government relations. We maintain groundbreaking practices in numerous fields, including technology and innovation; tax, trade and economic policy; travel and immigration; defense and cyber security; health care; food, agriculture, energy and the environment. This is an entry-level to 2 years of experience position.
Core responsibilities include:
- Helping to drive communications and public affairs campaigns through digital content.
- Support for Monument’s business development and marketing efforts through design, digital collateral, and social media management.
- Firm website design and content updates
Candidates should meet the following qualifications:
Design experience. Preference for candidates who have experience doing design work on persuasive communications and public policy campaigns.
- Experience creating public affairs collateral, including decks, one pagers, newsletters, social media graphics and copy, reports, websites, and videos.
- Familiarity with digital media including social media platforms where design work will be shared.
- The ability to analyze public policy goals into original graphic art to support social media advocacy campaigns in the following government and in a variety of public policy areas.
- Attention to detail and quality control, with the ability to track workflows, edits, and prioritize projects.
- The ability to serve as client point-of-contact for digital and social media products and communications campaigns, including running meetings, offering ideas, and managing problems.
Other responsibilities include:
- Newsletter production
- Social media content and content calendar production
- Occasional support for client events, mainly for digital production purposes
- Preference for any candidates with video production experience
- Marketing experience a plus
Strong preference for candidates with a mastery of graphics and digital products including Canva, the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat DC, Premiere Pro and Rush, Stock Photo) and Microsoft Office 365 including: PPT, Visio, Excel, Publisher, Access, SharePoint, Forms and Teams, as well as social media and email management experience.
Salary and Benefits:
- $50,000 - $60,000 and biannual bonuses
