We are seeking a strategic, data-driven Vice President of Marketing to lead our brand and growth efforts, blending creativity with performance marketing to fuel customer acquisition, retention, and brand loyalty.
Position Overview:
As the Vice President of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that fosters both brand awareness and measurable growth. You will manage our full marketing team (with several senior direct reports) and oversee digital performance, brand strategy, content, and product marketing. The ideal candidate is analytically minded, experienced in growth marketing, and has a proven track record in building high-performing e-commerce brands. As a key member of our team you report directly to the CEO, work closely with the company owners, and have ample opportunity to grow along with our dynamic business.
This position is ideally based in Miami, Florida, but we are open to remote candidates who are willing to travel periodically to Miami.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing Strategy Development: Lead the creation of an integrated marketing strategy, balancing long-term brand-building with short-term growth objectives and aligns the marketing vision with the company's business goals.
- Growth & Performance Marketing: Oversee digital marketing campaigns (SEO, SEM, paid social, email, affiliate) focused on customer acquisition and engagement. Leverage data-driven insights to optimize campaigns for maximum efficiency and ROI.
- Brand Management & Storytelling: Shape the brand’s identity and presence across all channels (website, social media, packaging, etc.), ensuring consistent messaging that connects emotionally with customers.
- Analytics & Insights: Design and implement a marketing analytics framework to measure performance and customer behavior. Use metrics like CAC, LTV, and ROAS to guide decision-making and improve strategies.
- Customer Acquisition & Retention: Develop data-driven strategies to lower acquisition costs while increasing customer lifetime value through initiatives like loyalty programs and personalized email campaigns.
- Product Marketing & Launches: Partner with product teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches, ensuring strong positioning and differentiation in the market.
- Content & Creative Direction: Oversee content creation, ensuring a cohesive brand narrative that aligns with customer interests. Manage creative production across all channels to maintain high brand standards.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing and global marketing team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Foster a culture which mixes data, analytics and testing but also encourages creativity in brand storytelling and campaign development.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. Use insights to refine marketing strategies.
- Budget Management & Resource Allocation: Manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI across all channels..
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of marketing experience, blending brand and performance marketing, ideally in e-commerce or consumer goods.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, etc.) to track performance and ROI.
- Proven success in building and executing customer acquisition and retention strategies across digital channels.
- Experience leading product launches, from positioning and messaging to go-to-market execution.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven track record of building and managing a high-performing team.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Klaviyo).
- Experience with the nursery or home furnishings industry is a plus.
- Some Spanish language skills are preferred but not required.
