IT Security First Responder Intern to join our dynamic team and make a real difference in the world of cybersecurity!
This is a part-time internship position that requires flexibility to work overnights and weekends onsite at our Tampa headquarters.

Things You’ll Do
- Be the First Responder: Handle inbound support calls and perform Level 1 triage, ensuring timely and effective incident response.
- Monitor and Respond: Keep an eye on health and availability alerts, responding to security alerts based on severity and risk to safeguard our clients’ environments.
- Engage with Customers: Communicate clearly and confidently via email and phone, providing exceptional support and enhancing customer experiences.
- Implement Security Measures: Take action by implementing firewall blocks and performing scheduled checks of network infrastructure and security appliances.
- Make Suggestions for Continuous Improvement: Seek out opportunities to enhance processes and workflows, ensuring we’re always improving our response strategies.
What You Bring
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Tech Knowledge: A solid understanding of network security concepts, protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP, etc.), and experience with security tools like firewalls and anti-virus solutions.
- Eagerness to Grow: A keen interest in developing your skills in IT security and networking, with a proactive attitude towards learning.
