Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
Greets and directs all visitors in the SAG-AFTRA NY office. Expedites member service needs with professionalism, accuracy and a high degree of excellence.

- Greets and directs all visitors, including vendors.
- Check-in members for on-site meetings and programs, including Conservatory
- Responsible for opening and closing member spaces, including Member Lounge and Conservatory
- Relays messages and announces visitors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Must enjoy working with people in a customer service capacity; demonstrated strong interpersonal and consistent professional demeanor required.
- Ability to organize and expedite workload efficiently.
- Demonstrated proficiency in PC software applications such as MS Word, Excel and Oracle; typing 35 wpm minimum.
- Must be flexible and cooperative in accepting various assignments.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately expedite multiple tasks and/or job functions in a timely and efficient manner.
- Must be motivated and reliable with a positive attitude.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Detail oriented.
- Able to work independently.
- Superlative interpersonal skills: high degree of patience and tact. Must be able to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally.
- Have an understanding and awareness of worker rights impacting SAG-AFTRA members.
- Hold yourself and others accountable for a high level of performance and integrity.
- Capable of taking direction from more than one supervisor.
- Must be able to work in a challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
- Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA’s sole discretion.
- Must be available and willing to work extended hours per day or per week (and/or overtime for applicable non- exempt positions), including weekends and holidays, as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
- Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma
- Previous reception, administrative experience
Testing Requirements
- Basic skills- Math, Spelling, Grammar and filing – passing score: 76%
- Word and Excel tests (basic and intermediate) – passing score: 76%
