Social Media and Marketing Manager

About the Role
As the Social Media and Marketing Manager at Sushi Nakazawa and Hi.Dozo, you will lead the development and execution of dynamic social media and content strategies that elevate our brand presence. You will collaborate closely with our team to create engaging content, form valuable partnerships, and deliver compelling campaigns that resonate with our target audience. Your creativity, industry insights, and communication skills will drive traffic, generate leads, and expand brand awareness across all our locations.
About Us
Sushi Nakazawa, owned by renowned chef Daisuke Nakazawa and restaurateur Alessandro Borgognone, is a Michelin-starred restaurant that opened in 2013. It was awarded four stars by The New York Times soon after its debut. With locations in New York and Washington, DC, Sushi Nakazawa is set to expand to Los Angeles. Additionally, Hi.Dozo, our delivery-focused concept, launched in May 2024 in partnership with DoorDash.
What You'll Do
● Develop and manage social media content plans aligned with the brand identity of Sushi Nakazawa and Hi.Dozo.
● Create engaging, high-quality content across multiple formats (social media, blog posts, email campaigns, video) to be posted three times per week per restaurant.
● Coordinate content “shoot” days at our restaurants in New York, Washington, DC, and Los Angeles.
● Collaborate with General Managers to respond to customer queries and comments in a timely, brand-consistent manner.
● Prepare monthly social media performance reports and analyze metrics to refine future strategies.
● Identify and research partnership opportunities with like-minded brands in collaboration with our public relations team.
● Select and engage with social media influencers for Hi.Dozo partnerships and promotions.
● Manage the e-newsletter calendar and content for marketing campaigns.
● Work with the public relations team to ensure all written content is aligned with our brand message.

Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field.
● 3-4 years of experience in social media management, content creation, and strategy within a restaurant, in-house, or agency setting.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills.
● Thorough knowledge of social media platforms, strategies, and analytics tools.
● Experience using software like MailChimp and other mass email platforms for e-blasts.
● Excellent time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
● Restaurant industry experience or knowledge is preferred.\
