Job Overview
We are in search of a proactive and seasoned VP of Marketing to become a key member of our executive leadership team. This critical position will play a vital role in steering our marketing strategies and enhancing community engagement efforts. You will lead the formulation and execution of our sales strategies, promotions, and loyalty programs, collaborating closely with various stakeholders to ensure unified messaging and effective marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute strategies to incentivize repeat visits through loyalty rewards and membership programs.
- Develop a holistic sales strategy that aligns with overall business objectives and market dynamics.
- Propel lead generation through multiple media channels, including social media, public relations, and community engagements.
- Establish ambitious sales targets in partnership with the sales manager and devise strategic plans to achieve revenue goals.
- Recruit, mentor, and motivate high-achieving sales teams, cultivating a culture of excellence and performance-driven results.
- Direct B2B and B2C sales initiatives aimed at surpassing revenue targets, expanding market presence, and enhancing customer acquisition and retention.
- Build and sustain crucial customer relationships, negotiate contracts, and discover upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Streamline sales processes and tools to increase efficiency and facilitate accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
- Analyze sales performance data to identify trends and provide data-driven recommendations for enhancements.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with corporate goals.
- Share market insights that inform product development, marketing campaigns, and improvements in customer experience.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and conduct market research to ensure a competitive advantage.
- Partner with the finance team to guarantee accurate revenue reporting for accounting and stakeholders.
- Create and deliver impactful sales training programs to equip the sales team with essential skills and knowledge.
- Continuously refine sales enablement initiatives to bolster team growth and success.
Qualifications
- A degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred; however, substantial experience and demonstrated success are highly valued.
- Proven experience in sales leadership roles, preferably as a VP of Marketing or VP of Sales within a similar industry.
- Background in hospitality, restaurant, or service sectors is preferred, especially in multi-unit, multi-market environments.
- Outstanding leadership and team management abilities, capable of inspiring and guiding sales teams.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, employing a data-informed approach to decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships and negotiating with key stakeholders.
- Proficiency in sales operations and CRM systems; familiarity with platforms such as Triple Seat, Toast, and HubSpot is an advantage.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt to evolving market conditions.
- Willingness to travel throughout Northern California and to future locations.
