Position Summary
We are on the lookout for a highly strategic and results-driven Vice President of Marketing to become an integral part of our executive leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead our marketing strategies and play a crucial role in enhancing our overall sales performance. You will manage promotional campaigns, foster community relationships, and lead loyalty initiatives while ensuring seamless communication with your team, organizational leaders, investors, and board members.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategies to boost customer loyalty and encourage repeat visits.
- Develop and execute a sales strategy that aligns with our business objectives and market dynamics.
- Create a comprehensive lead generation system utilizing various media channels, including social media, public relations, and community outreach.
- Collaborate with the sales manager to establish sales targets and develop strategic plans to achieve revenue goals.
- Recruit, mentor, and motivate high-performing sales teams, cultivating a culture of excellence.
- Initiate B2B and B2C sales efforts to reach or exceed revenue benchmarks and expand market presence.
- Build and maintain key customer relationships, negotiate significant contracts, and explore upselling opportunities.
- Optimize sales processes and tools to enhance productivity and ensure precise sales forecasting.
- Analyze sales metrics to assess performance, identify emerging trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to align initiatives with corporate objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover opportunities for differentiation and maintain market relevance.
- Partner with the finance team to ensure accurate revenue reporting for stakeholders.
- Develop and facilitate comprehensive sales training programs to empower the sales force.
Qualifications
- Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in business, marketing, or a relevant discipline. Your experience and accomplishments are the most valuable assets.
- Proven experience in sales leadership roles, preferably as a current or former VP of Marketing or Sales.
- Background in the hospitality, restaurant, or service industry is preferred; experience across multiple units and markets is a plus.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities with a proven ability to inspire and motivate sales teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, utilizing a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal proficiency to foster effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Familiarity with sales operations, CRM systems, and sales performance analytics is essential, with knowledge of Triple Seat, Toast, and HubSpot preferred.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic setting and adapt to evolving market conditions.
- This role requires travel throughout Northern California and to future locations.
