Job Description
The Associate Director of Marketing Operations leads the promotional review function at Sobi North America, encompassing the end-to-end development and review/approval of materials, administration of the review system, and material production (digital and print/fulfillment). The individual will set the future direction for promotional review at Sobi, including building and refining a modular content approach, overall process strategy and governance, resource planning, and the drafting and maintenance of policies and operating procedures. The AD, Marketing Operations role is highly cross-functional in nature and requires forging strong partnerships with partners in Omnichannel Excellence, Brand Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Legal and Compliance, and global internal stakeholders.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing Operations, this role is critical in impacting operational change and optimization throughout the North America organization.
Essential Responsibilities/Scope Of The Job
Promotional Review
- Oversight and governance of the Sobi Review Committee (SRC) process
- Lead a small team of Coordinators tasked with the day-to-day functioning of SRC, including setting agendas and facilitating review meetings, prioritizing and routing materials for review, and maintaining a forecasting and prioritization tracker
- Provide process and system support to submitting teams
- Own material forecasting and prioritization with marketing and submitting teams
- Drive process improvement initiatives across the promotional review process, focusing on foundation building for modular content and overall operational excellence
- Use data, KPIs, and review metrics to identify opportunities and solutions with the goal of continuous improvement
- Communicate effectively to leadership on large scale initiatives, including launches, label updates, modular content, etc.
- Develop and maintain strong working partnerships across the organization to ensure strong cross-functional collaboration and a positive team culture
- Stay abreast of trends in material development and management and assess for incorporation into Sobi NA procedures
- Facilitate quarterly business reviews with leadership
- Develop and oversee internal stakeholder and external agency training on the SRC process, review system, and policies and procedures
- Monitor and communicate potential issues to leadership
Print & Fulfillment
- Oversee the printing and fulfillment of materials
- Oversee a digital storefront (material ordering portal)
- Print vendor management
Modular Content
- Support the implementation of modular content at Sobi, defining the overall approach, review process, and system configuration
- Plan and implement internal change management strategies
Qualifications
- ~10 years in pharmaceutical/biotech with 5+ years dedicated promotional review experience
- Strong understanding of best practices in pharmaceutical promotional review
- Super-user level experience working in Veeva Vault PromoMats required
- Working knowledge of the regulation of advertising and promotion of drug products in the U.S. (Canadian experience a plus)
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional groups to achieve common goals
- Solid ability to communicate effectively across stakeholders and mediate conflictsExperience building modular content capabilities strongly preferred
- Strong project management skills
- Strong technology aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience drafting/reviewing policies, procedures, and work instructions

The base salary pay range for this role is $148,000-194,000 annually. Actual pay for this position will take into account factors such as experience and location. In addition to a base salary, this position is also eligible for a competitive 401k match, short and long-term incentives, medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD and life insurance benefits, in addition to other health and wellness programs and offerings.
