Summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for taking the lead responsibility on improving marketing efforts for our dealerships. Your overarching goal is to drive more customer opportunities (phone, chat, web form, email response) that will eventually develop into a Sale or Service opportunity.
Responsibilities
Daily:
- Update all tasks with notes of progress and track all deliverables inside of our productivity management software
- Content for Social Media – posts daily. (Review data from Social Dealer Software on quality and engagement of posts)
- Work with Marketing Agency daily on pending or potential tasks
Weekly:
- Review Dealer Website for opportunities
- Review 3rd Party companies for opportunities
- Ensure there is consistency of offers across social media, website, 3rd party sites, digital, mail, email, etc
- Ensure there is consistency of look/feel across social media, website, 3rd party sites, digital, mail, email, etc. Promote video content development in the dealership (testimonials, vehicle presentations, staff videos, service videos, etc.)
- Identify opportunities with the assistance of Vista Dash or other reporting tools and create an action plan that can be reviewed with MD & GM
- Provide a weekly summary of all accomplishments, delays, and areas that MD can assist with
Monthly:
- Obtain New offers from GM and Sales Managers and either update yourself or ensure management team is updating the Offers Google Doc
- Communicate the latest offers to our Marketing Agency and review our offers with our competitors to look for opportunities we could be missing
- Build and maintain relationship with key stakeholders
- Develop and executive marketing strategies as needed
- Join meetings for performance reviews regarding to marketing activities (website performance, paid search, social, budget review, etc.)
- Organize monthly internal meetings with Executive Team, GM or Sales Manager to review local strategies and relevant KPIs
- Audit store budget. Add/Replace any vendors that are/not being used by the dealership. Use this to form an opinion on if we are maximizing the use of that vendor and achieving an ROI that is acceptable to the dealership. Look for duplication across vendors to reduce expenses
- Review & study automotive resources like Automotive News, CBT News, etc. to stay ahead of the competition and create action plan items that we can develop for our dealerships
- Plan/oversee any special projects (i.e. Event at the dealership) with MD & GM. Make sure that we maximize content for Social Platforms
- Ensure that GM is receiving Reputation/Review Alerts as they occur across our platforms and that we are addressing potential issues
- Perform Monthly Checklist given by the MD
- Update Monthly KPI Tracking Report
- Evaluate results of each activity and conduct post-event analysis
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years in a similar role preferably in automotive industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing or related field
- Proven experience in engaging, educating and motivating targeted audiences
- Knowledge of latest trends and best practices for marketing specially in social platforms
