Job Overview:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the marketing efforts for our large-scale flower farm. This role will drive the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand positioning, manage social media presence, oversee project and task management, and maintain consistent and appealing graphic design. The Marketing Manager will also play a key role in people management, ensuring that the marketing team is aligned with business goals, works collaboratively, and delivers on strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project and Task Management:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing projects across multiple channels.
- Develop detailed project plans, ensuring all tasks are appropriately allocated and completed within deadlines.
- Monitor and manage project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Liaise with other departments such as sales, product development, and operations to ensure marketing initiatives are aligned with broader company objectives.
- Ensure efficient task delegation and tracking through project management tools.
2. Social Media Management:
- Develop and execute a dynamic social media strategy to engage target audiences across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
- Oversee daily content creation, posting schedules, and community management.
- Track, analyze, and report social media performance metrics to continually optimize campaigns and engagement.
3. Brand Positioning & Strategy:
- Strengthen the company’s brand identity by developing clear and consistent messaging, ensuring it resonates with target audiences.
- Lead the development of campaigns that effectively communicate the unique selling propositions (USPs) of our flower varieties and commitment to sustainability.
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitors, and customer feedback to adjust brand strategy accordingly.
- Ensure that all marketing collateral and activities align with the brand’s tone, voice, and positioning.
4. Graphic Design & Visual Marketing:
- Collaborate with the graphic design team to create visually appealing materials including brochures, product packaging, social media content, and advertisements.
- Ensure brand consistency across all visual assets, maintaining high-quality standards for digital and print media.
- Review and approve design work to ensure alignment with the brand’s aesthetic and business goals.
- Stay updated on design trends in the flower and agricultural industry to keep marketing materials fresh and innovative.
5. People Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of social media specialists and graphic designers.
- Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment on goals, campaigns, and projects.
- Provide ongoing feedback, performance evaluations, and development opportunities for team members.
- Foster a collaborative and creative work environment where team members are encouraged to contribute ideas.
- Work closely with HR to recruit and onboard new team members as needed.
6. Collaboration and Cross-functional Coordination:
- Work closely with the sales and product teams to ensure marketing campaigns support revenue goals.
- Maintain regular communication with external partners, agencies, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a marketing role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Strong project management skills
- Proven experience managing social media strategies and driving engagement.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a proven ability to motivate and lead teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze marketing data and make strategic decisions based on insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the flower or agricultural industry.
- Familiarity with Mass Market, E-Commerce, and Wholesale Floral Industries
