About Us
We are a team of six engineers, and we build platforms (e.g., iconbrick.com) and automation tools. Most recently, we built a two-sided marketplace completely from scratch—including the CMS and supporting tool set—and infused it with AI: We call it ResellerDoor (see resellerdoor.com/products). To test it, we created three eBay stores, filled them with thousands of actual listings (yes, we have access to tons of inventory), and ported all the listings to ResellerDoor. Sellers can sync listings from other platforms (and vice versa), and buyers can negotiate the price of entire carts in real time (even if items are from different sellers). Our vision is to gamify ResellerDoor: make it social media–like. We are experts in software and e-commerce but don't know marketing.
Job Overview
We are looking for a hands-on team member who knows everything marketing: someone who's a self starter and can find creative solutions around our tight budget. We self-funded the build-out of the entire platform, and although we're not opposed to outside investment, we operate lean, with a DIY philosophy. We are a closely knit team, and we communicate often and extremely efficiently. In addition to leading software development and project management resources, we have access to a physical e-commerce ecosystem in Northern Virginia: warehouses, auction houses, used goods, etc. Please note that this is a startup: We have production software, but we are pre-revenue, so none of us get paid a salary yet.
Responsibilities
- Marketing strategy development and implementation (including go-to-market)
- Connecting with and on-boarding resellers
- Driving buyer traffic to the platform
- UI/UX and product design
- Digital marketing, advertising, and branding
- Orchestrating growth on a tight budget
