JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Content Marketing Manager to work in the marketing business unit of one of our large Technology clients. This person will be part the corporate storytelling team, developing customer success stories and thought leadership articles for our client’s executive hub. This individual may also take on editing assignments to support the team. They will write new content based on existing material and interview subject matter experts to flesh out details about the topics and benefits of cyber security, observability, ITOps, and AI. Candidates with similar roles at a B2B Software or Technology company and a portfolio of executive thought-leadership content and customer case studies will thrive in this role. This person will prepare and conduct interviews with subject matter experts and customers to build engaging narratives that can connect the impact of cybersecurity and observability solutions to our client’s offerings. This requires the ability to bridge broad narratives with technical details. They will be expected to synthesize complex and sometimes technical background material on our client’s offerings, their customers' businesses, and market trends, such as sales presentations, messaging briefs, and other internal and external materials. They will also collaborate with messaging and solutions marketing peers to determine target audience, persona needs, and key messages to build an outline and compelling B2B stories.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in a B2B technology company, with a portfolio of work to demonstrate skills in various content types and lengths.
- Must understand and be able to practice the fundamentals of writing case studies, short form thought leadership for executives, and skimmable content for the web.
- A talented writer with an excellent vocabulary, impeccable grammar, and style.
- Able to adopt the Splunk tone of voice and adhere to corporate style guidelines.
- Adept at telling stories that draw the reader in and grip their emotions, making them feel known and understood and compelled to keep reading.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent collaborator.
- Organized with attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and deliver quality work on a deadline.
- Experience marketing to / writing for cybersecurity, IT, and engineering professionals and executives is highly desired.
Compensation:
$40/hr to $45/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
