Orlando City joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the league's 21st franchise in November 2013, becoming the first MLS team in the Southeast. The Lions began league play in March 2015. In 2019, Orlando City re-launched Orlando City B (OCB) to bridge the gap between its successful youth development academy and the First Team.
The Orlando Pride, OCSC’s National Women’s Soccer League franchise, began play in 2016 - bringing professional women’s soccer to Orlando for the first time.

What Sets You Apart: The Director of Brand Alliances Marketing oversees partner related activities including strategy on renewals, activation, execution and comprehensive recaps of all partnership elements. This role requires creating value for corporate partners by ensuring the successful activation of sponsorships through various platforms, including in-stadium experiences, digital and social media, branding, and community engagement initiatives. This sales & partnership minded individual will build strong relationships with current partners (mid & C-level) and demonstrate a focus and knowledge of their business objectives to aid in the successful execution and ultimate renewal/upsell. They will work to continuously increase the level of service and support offered by the brand alliance department and cooperate with various internal stakeholders to achieve success. This person will have a direct report and be responsible for the strategic direction of corporate partnership activation for accounts as assigned and will oversee select department initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver ongoing creative marketing and implementation recommendations for current partners including retail activations, in-stadium promotions, special events, and community outreach ideas with a deep understanding of brand marketing needs.
- Participate in the creation and execution of yearly business plan focusing on integrating new ideas and improving efficiencies to deliver on partner objectives.
- Assist in creating and monitoring partner expense budgets and make recommendations on how to maximize efficiencies in delivery of assets while adhering to budget goals and objectives; Monitor partner invoicing and accounts payable in collaboration with Finance department
- Collaborate with other department leaders to improve overall organization of assets. Question how things were done in the past and put forth new ideas to streamline and ensure that communication of assets is seamless amongst team and key departments such as Marketing, Business Intelligence, Community, Youth, Ticket Sales and Communications.
- Participate in cross functional department meetings and provide regular updates regarding activation.
- Elevate level of service to all brand alliance partners with timely follow-up, attention to detail, strategy and connectivity between their business and the enterprise. Facilitate introductions and collaboration amongst other partners. Participate in the execution and Planning of a yearly Partner Summit in collaboration with department.
- Manage activation of Partner accounts, as assigned and ensure we are meeting and exceeding expectations and thinking of ways to grow their business. Developing strong relationships with all levels within the organization is key to this success and working with leadership to do so.
- Mentor direct reports, investing in their growth and learning.
- Work with Business Intelligence and department leadership to put together compelling Recaps for Partners and interpret the data to put forth recommendations and ways to maximize exposure for Partners. Keep good record of activations putting forth visually compelling reports working with Creative and ensure the proper tracking of assets in CRM.
- Oversee Partnership creative for accurate materials featuring the corporate partner and club’s logos for correct usage, i.e., sponsor artwork, logos, print, digital, social and other relevant items.
- Manage broadcast & radio products inventory ensuring appropriate delivery paying attention to partner deliverables and overall quality of broadcast for fans.
- Create balanced work environment to avoid burnout and ensure partner activations are executed at a high level while achieving work-life balance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related fields required
- Master’s degree preferred
- 6-8 years’ experience with demonstrated success in Partnership Activation, Marketing and Sales
- Understanding of Sponsorship analytics and experience in interpreting third party data to enhance Partner execution.
- Proven managerial and mentoring experience
- Demonstrated success of leading senior level partnerships and managing accounts
- Demonstrated success of upselling and renewing partnership
- Experience in the Florida marketplace preferred, but not necessary
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills required
- Strong networking, sales and business development skills a plus
- Collaborative team player who possesses a strong work ethic and ability to work well independently with strong self-initiative
- Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
- Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere
- Outstanding communication skills are essential for interactions with clients, operational leaders and senior executives
