SEPHORA is looking for a proactive, resourceful, adaptable person to join our Social Video team! You will work on everything from shoot prep to filming and editing videos on your own as well as managing studio calendars, bookings, and production timelines with precision, ensuring seamless operations.
Additionally you'll assist in talent outreach, collaborate across teams, and maintain a pulse on emerging social trends to keep our content fresh and engaging. This position requires great attention to detail and excellent organization, proven experience in social content production is required.
This is a full-time (40 hours a week) contractor role through March 2025 with the possibility of contract extending.
All applicants must live in Los Angeles, CA as this role reports in studio 2-3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-end content creation for Sephora’s social channels: shoot prep, filming, editing, coordinating with outside post production resources, etc.
- Maintain internal studio calendars, studio bookings, and shoot/production timelines
- Monitor incoming and outgoing gear and order gear/supplies as needed or requested
- Prep/pack and coordinate travel for off-site shoots
- Set-up and breakdown studio sets
- Update internal team documents like run of shows, call sheets, etc.
- Assist with talent outreach for shoots as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally with social, studio operations, and other internal team members as needed
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in social media marketing and content production – prior experience in beauty preferred
- Experience in filming/editing video content (portfolio/list of past work is required)
- Comfortable creating and editing content for TikTok and Instagram Reels
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant social channels and and the content that performs well for them (strong emphasis on TikTok – as well as Instagram Reels and emerging new platforms)
- Self-motivated, demonstrating a high level of initiative and proven ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing appropriately
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Smartsheet
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and studio schedules
