The Head of Marketing and Communications will own and execute Printemps' brand marketing communication strategy in New York, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach across all channels and platforms in close collaboration with the corporate office in Paris.
A visionary and hands-on leader, you will drive creativity and enthusiasm across your team, while focusing on results-driven initiatives to enhance brand visibility, customer acquisition, and retention.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including retail, e-commerce, PR, and merchandising, to strengthen Printemps’ presence in the luxury market in the United States. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, creative leadership, and performance analysis to enhance customer insights and achieve key business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Brand Marketing Strategy : Lead the development and execution of the brand marketing strategy for North America, ensuring alignment with business goals, target audience needs, and the broader company vision.
- Omnichannel Campaigns : Oversee the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns across all channels, including digital, retail, PR, events, and social media, ensuring seamless integration and maximum impact.
- Customer Engagement & Retention : Drive strategies to enhance customer acquisition and retention through targeted campaigns and personalized marketing efforts that strengthen brand loyalty and customer relationships.
- Market Penetration & Growth : Develop strategies to increase market share and brand awareness across the North American region, leveraging customer insights, competitive analysis, and emerging market opportunities.
- Team Leadership : Inspire and manage a cross-functional marketing team, providing clear direction and fostering a creative, results-driven environment. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all marketing initiatives are executed effectively and on schedule.
- Budget & Performance Management : Manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation across initiatives. Track performance, analyze ROI, and optimize marketing efforts to maximize business impact.
- Campaign Analysis & Reporting : Lead ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns and customer insights to evaluate effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed. Provide regular reporting on KPIs, market trends, and business performance.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams : Work closely with buying, merchandising, e-commerce, PR, and creative teams to develop integrated marketing initiatives that align with product launches, store openings, and seasonal campaigns.
Education/Experience :
- 5+ years’ integrated marketing experience with a luxury brand in retail and wholesale.
- Experience creating marketing strategy and plan, alone as well as with a team.
- An established and well-connected list of contacts.
- Proven ability to manage, coach, and guide a team.
- Competent management experienced in motivating teams as well as with working with senior management.
- Must be a strong collaborator who can work effectively with key internal and external cross-functional partners.
- Highly motivated with the ability to thrive and multi-task in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Language Ability :
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Customer-focused attitude with high level of professionalism and ability to communicate across diverse groups of employees and departments.
- French is a plus
Reasoning Ability :
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form.
- Demonstrated experience exhibiting discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality in a working environment.
- Flexibility working with leadership and across all levels of the organization.
