The Coordinator, Marketing & Activations plays a vital role in advancing the 49ers Foundation’s mission to educate and empower Bay Area youth. Working under the supervision and collaboratively with the Foundation’s Operations & Events Manager, this position is responsible for implementing marketing strategies and activations that engage the Foundation’s faithful supporters and charitable partners while elevating awareness of the 49ers Foundation’s charitable programs.
This role supports the Foundation’s marketing initiatives, including social media, to effectively communicate the impact of its work and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders. The Coordinator will also assist with contract activations, ensuring that partner commitments are fulfilled to sustain and grow charitable investments in the Foundation’s mission
Key responsibilities also include executing detail-oriented tasks related to gameday and event activations, contributing to seamless operations that inspire donor engagement and deepen community connection
Responsibilities and Duties
• Implementation of Marketing Plans: Assist in creating marketing strategies for upcoming events, sponsored elements, and program initiatives under the guidance of the Operations & Events Manager
• Coordinate Supporter Activations: Coordinate activations for charitable partners, including rights/benefits, entitlements, and promotional elements, ensuring alignment with team standards.
• Social Media & External Communications: Execute the 49ers Foundation’s social media strategy and external communications for major fundraiser events, donor engagements, gameday information, and monthly updates, following the strategic framework set by the Operations & Events Manager.
• Branding & Marketing Materials: Review existing branding and marketing materials, including 49ers Foundation apparel and event signage, to ensure consistency and optimize supporter engagement.
• Maintain Asset Inventory: Organize and manage a comprehensive inventory of department assets, i.e., event supplies, giveaway items, and marketing materials for charitable partners and direct service programs (49ers EDU & 49ers PREP).
• Prepare Partnership Recaps: Prepare detailed monthly, mid-season, and annual reports that highlight partners’ philanthropic and brand impact
• Assist in Event Planning, Auctions, and Partnerships: Provide support in the ideation, planning, and execution for all 49ers Foundation fundraising events, auctions, and partner sponsorship activations/recaps.
• Support Gameday Activities: Help coordinate donor visits, pregame presentations, and Foundation-related gameday activities as directed.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Carry out additional tasks as requested by the Operations & Events Manager or Foundation leadership.
Required Abilities and Skills:
• Project Execution: Demonstrated ability to initiate, design, plan, execute, and evaluate event and cause-marketing outcomes
• Social Media Coverage: Experience in managing social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn), creating compelling content, and driving engagement to raise awareness for the 49ers Foundation
• CRM and Data: Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and data management, ensuring accurate tracking of donor and vendor engagements.
• Creative Problem-Solving: Innovative thinker with the ability to identify alternatives and implement creative solutions
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage time effectively, balance priorities, and handle multiple competing tasks with a high degree of efficiency.
• Collaboration and Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to encourage open communication, build consensus, and maintain internal/external connectivity.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with ambiguity, while still setting clear objectives and advancing deliverables.
Education and Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree and at least 2-4 years’ relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
● Experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
● Experience with Instagram, X, Facebook, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva.
● Familiarity with CRM event management.
● Sports marketing and event management experience in a stadium, arena, convention center or fundraising events setting preferred.

Travel:
15% of local travel time expected for this position.
Compensation:
$25.00 - $28.00/hour
