Job Description:
VP of Demand Generation at Aeris, you will lead our efforts to scale sales and marketing, taking ownership of the entire marketing-generated pipeline growth. You will report directly to the CMO collaborating with cross-functional teams and agencies to orchestrate integrated campaigns that drive leads and closed-won customers. In this role, you will leverage marketing automation and CRM systems to manage lead input, track campaign results, and analyze return on investment while exploring new channels to go-to-market. Candidate must be self-directed, a tenacious problem-solver, collaborate well with colleagues, take initiative, and manage numerous projects simultaneously. We are looking for someone with critical thinking skills who can dive into the details to get things done with a “can do” attitude. You’ll measure your performance against the growth of the marketing-generated and marketing-influenced sales pipeline, as well as your ability to work effectively with others to achieve measurable results. You will both execute work individually as well as manage other professionals to deliver your results.
Key Responsibilities
- Demand Generation Strategy: Develop and execute the overall demand generation strategy to align with company revenue targets. Leverage your deep understanding of best practices in the generation, nurture, qualification, and tracking of leads through online campaigns including content marketing, SEO/SEM, webinars, advertising, and content syndication to achieve success.
- Full-Funnel Pipeline Ownership: Own pipeline creation and pipeline coverage targets across all sales segments, verticals, and geographies. End-to-End ownership of the Demand Generation portion of all GTM (go-to-market) strategies for both existing and new products.
- Track DG ROI & Metrics: Develop KPIs/OKRs, reports, and analysis to provide funnel and campaign insights. Innovate ways to improve benchmarks for campaign performance metrics and drive continual iterative progress of campaign effectiveness
- Close Partnership with Sales Teams: Work very closely with the sales teams to align campaign output with ongoing marketing programs. Ensure that marketing programs are delivering consistently high-quality leads.
- Demand Gen Budget: Oversee the demand generation portion of the marketing budget, including managing spend to budget, reporting on forecast, CPLs, Cost-per-Acquisition and ROI.
- Martech Stack Strategy: Develop and execute full martech stack strategy and manage the team to implement. Innovate and iterate demand generation tools and processes for optimal results.
- Channel Strategy Execution: Partner with product marketing to investigate and validate potential sales channels, and drive execution of campaigns for channel marketing strategies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experienced B2B digital and demand generation marketer: 10-13 years’ experience with B2B SaaS companies, with at least 7 years of hands-on lead/demand generation experience. Relevant experience with Cybersecurity, SaaS / Cloud technologies, ITOM (IT Operations Management), IPM (Infrastructure Performance Management), and/or AIOps (AI for IT operations) is a huge plus
- Campaign Execution including ABM: Deep experience in planning and executing integrated campaigns. Proficiency in marketing channels such as Email, Digital Advertisement, Webinars, Website Conversion Optimization, and SEM/SEO. Familiarity with ABM tools and AI methods that utilize buyer intent data.
- Results & Metrics-Driven Marketer: Strong data analysis skills with a track record of exceeding pipeline goals in high-growth environments.
- Marketing Technology Savvy: Expertise in Pardot, Hubspot and Salesforce is advantageous and necessary for comparable marketing automation experience. Knowledgeable in automating demand generation processes and familiarity with tools and platforms such as Google AdWords, DemandBase (or similar), and other cutting-edge go-to-market tools.
- Resourceful, startup-savvy operator: Capable of defining new approaches to creating demand for complex B2B products and bringing them to market. The ideal candidate must be proficient in starting processes from scratch and continuously iterating in a complex environment. Startup experience is required.
- Messaging, Content & Visual Design: Understanding of B2B messaging for large, complex sales, including experience with creating and marketing to Buyer Personas. Skilled in visual design with an eye for compelling graphics that accelerate and anchor customer understanding.
- Strong cross-functional project manager: Skilled in engaging multiple functions across the company to achieve alignment and drive results. Proven track record managing complex projects and operational details with a willingness to get hands-on. Global experience is advantageous
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA
- Experience in a SaaS-based software industry
- Experience in IT Operations Management, DevOps, AIOps, IPM, and related markets
- Partner / channel marketing experience
- Writing skills and marketing storytelling experience
