About the Team
At TikTok, our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. The Global Business Solutions, SMB Marketing Team's purpose is to make TikTok the most relevant growth platform for small, medium-sized and mid-market businesses, providing education, guidance, and showcasing success. As part of the Global SMB Team, the SMB Marketing Team works in close collaboration with the SMB Sales and SMB Product teams, becoming the champions of SMB and mid-market audiences, continually optimizing performance-driven messaging strategies and customer journeys. About the Role
The ideal candidate is a visionary strategist with a proven track record of designing and executing multi-channel industry and owned events. This role requires a skilled marketer and creative thinker, with strong business acumen, who can drive new advertiser acquisitions, grow existing client relationships, and position brands as thought leaders via industry and owned events. All initiatives must deliver measurable returns on investment.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute innovative, impactful, joint marketing events to drive new revenue, customer acquisition, and incremental revenue among existing clients across key industry and owned moments.
Event Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive event strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Identify key industry & vertical events and opportunities for TikTok to participate and lead.
- Conceptualize and plan innovative event formats (e.g., virtual, hybrid, in-person) to engage target audiences.
- Oversee the development of engaging event themes, messaging, and branding.
- Manage event budgets and ensure cost-effective execution; Utilize data analytics to measure event performance and inform future strategies.
- Work in partnership with Marketing Solutions and Vertical Strategists to spearhead thought-leadership for event content; liaise with SMB TikTok leadership and Public Relations to craft, prepare, amplify meaningful speakerships
Industry Event Management:
- Lead the planning and execution of 4-5 industry events per quarter, such as CES, SXSW, and ShopTalk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, product) to define event goals and KPIs.
- Source and manage vendors and partners to deliver high-quality events.
- Oversee on-site event logistics, including venue selection, staffing, and equipment.
- Measure and analyze event performance to identify areas for improvement.
TikTok Event Management:
- Manage large-scale TikTok-owned events, including SMB Month and Small Business Saturday; and co-own SMB vision and engagement in TikTok World.
- Develop and implement event concepts, themes, and content strategies.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Monitor event performance and make real-time adjustments as needed.
Event Partnership Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, sponsors, and vendors.
- Negotiate partnerships and secure sponsorship deals to support event initiatives.
- Collaborate with partners to create co-branded events and campaigns.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in B2B event marketing strategy and execution, both large scale (SXSW, AdWeek, CES) and sub-vertical specific (Glossy, CosmoProf).
- Track record of success in owning and delivering ambitious revenue targets through events.
- Experience working closely with Sales and other stakeholders in defining and achieving success.
- Understanding of the SMB competitive landscape in North America and knowledge of general SMB and mid-market client needs and challenges.
- Highly creative mindset balanced with a firm focus on measurable results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to be clear and persuasive across wide variety of audiences, internal and external.
- Natural collaborator with ability to weave competing ideas and priorities into comprehensive strategic solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for TikTok and at least basic understanding of our unique value proposition and suite of ad products for SMBs.
- Understanding of ad technology.

Job Information
【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $91000 - $165000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
