Overall Responsibility
Embark on a thrilling journey as our Junior Social Media & Community Manager where you'll pilot our social media platforms to new heights. At Pete & Gerry’s Organics LLC (PGO), your mission is pivotal: craft and deliver standout social content that not only captivates new shoppers, but also nurtures a vibrant community of brand loyalists who actively engage with PGO’s family of premium egg brands (Pete & Gerry’s and Nellie’s Free Range). Your role is to be the voice and the ear of our brands, sparking meaningful conversations and building lasting relationships. By collaborating closely with our Senior Content Creator, agency teams, and the broader marketing team, you'll transform our social narrative into a living, breathing, industry leading presence. Beyond just enhancing our social visibility, you'll be instrumental in amplifying our core values into our internal culture, helping foster a workplace brimming with energy and positivity.
Key Responsibilities
Social Strategy, Planning, and Activation
- Collaborate with PGO’s Senior Content Creator to hatch innovative social media strategies that boost brand visibility and engagement across Pete & Gerry’s and Nellie’s Free Range social handles.
- Coordinate our organic social presence and targeted campaigns, integrating seamlessly with our broader Marketing and agency teams.
- Help craft and refine our content calendar with a savvy test-and-learn approach to glean insights, optimize strategies, and magnify our digital footprint.
- Own all social post copywriting, developing dynamic captions that capture our audience’s attention.
- Take the reins of all social media publishing, ensuring every post is strategically timed and flawlessly executed to maximize reach and engagement.
Community Management
- Manage all inbound social messaging, fostering a lively, interactive, and ultimately loyal community.
- Proactively engage with other brands and influencers across social platforms, further inserting Pete and Gerry’s and Nellie’s into the cultural narrative and conversation.
- Champion internal community engagement by showcasing initiatives that reinforce Pete & Gerry’s purpose and values, fostering a workplace culture that brings the brand to life for our flockmates and demonstrates our mission to external stakeholders, such as potential recruits.
Social Data & Analytics
- Spearhead our social media analytics, translating both data and dialogue into insights that refine our campaigns and resonate with our audience.
- Employ a continuous improvement mindset to sharpen our social initiatives, turning every insight into a steppingstone for growth.
- Stay ahead of the curve with proactive social listening, keeping your finger on the pulse of brand sentiment, community feedback, and market trends.
- Regularly report out on social media performance and optimization plans through the monthly marketing performance report.
Key Skills Needed
- 2+ years’ experience managing a brand’s organic social efforts, as well as community engagement.
- Proven mastery in leading social media activation across all social platforms, with a priority on mastery of Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Skilled in devising strategic and well-organized content calendars.
- Innate ability to lead projects independently with an ownership mindset, solving challenges to maintain industry-leading performance and applying best practices on an ongoing basis.
- Stellar written communication, with a keen eye for detail in compelling language and precise grammar.
- Exceptional prioritization skills, adept at juggling various projects and deadlines while maintaining open and constructive communication with all stakeholders.
- Collaborative spirit, agility/fast paced, ready to work hand-in-hand with both internal teams and external partners to drive collective success.
- Experience with social platform management tools, such as Meltwater, Dash Hudson, or Brand Watch, strongly preferred.
