Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this leadership position of Brand President is responsible for developing plans and actions to drive the revenue and profit goals for the Tasty Hut (Pizza Hut) brand within a specific geographic market. To support this brand, the future incumbent is ideally based in Ashville or Greensboro, NC, Charleston, WV, or Northern VA area. The role requires that the Brand leader present to the Board of Directors monthly the Tasty Hut full financial and operational plans and maintain their confidence in the growth and direction of the brand. Brand management, promotional activity and corporate relationships must also be maintained. The Brand Officer will have the following span of supervisory control, restaurants, and revenue: (5) Regional Vice Presidents of Operations (1) Sr. Director of Training and HR, (32) District Managers and (210) Restaurant General Managers operating restaurants generating 230 million in revenue.
As a senior executive team member, this position must deliver the sales and profit results through people development, customer service and improved restaurant operations. The key leadership position provides coaching and strategic direction to their entire team and consistently demonstrates Tasty Way values and leadership behaviors to build a positive family culture and business relationships.
Revenue Building and Standards
• Developing and implementing business strategies to improve operational efficiency and increase profitability. Accountable for achieving all established business plan targets and KPI’s (sales, transaction, income, team turnover, etc.).
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and streamline operations.
• Establishes processes and develops guidelines for Vice President of Operations, Directors of Operations, District Managers and Restaurant General Managers to ensure that restaurants improve transaction counts, execute local store marketing, national and co-op promotions and the execution of new products and processes within the market.
• Accountable for protecting the brand by adherence to Quality, Service and Cleanliness, operational standards, food safety standards, and employment laws.
• Demonstrates Customer-First Service by consistently observing restaurant operations,
troubleshooting shift management, taking on-the-spot corrective actions, and recognizing
successes.
• Creates a positive work environment to accomplish business results (customer counts, sales, profits, guest satisfaction and outstanding service.
• Ensures that restaurant operations improvement process and system reviews are completed on a rolling 12-month cycle.
Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities
• Champions the People policies and procedures by personally demonstrating, reinforcing and following-up on the people drivers to gain commitment from the Vice President of Operations, Directors of Operations, District Managers, Restaurant General Managers and Team Members.
• Establishes individual performance KPI targets and ensures that the performance planning and assessment process is followed for all employees within the market.
• Responsible for the ongoing training and development of all operations team members and provides DMT program recommendations.
• Ensures that people practices are followed (e.g., quality hiring, management targeted
selection, commitment survey, shift certification, HR policies, employment laws, security and safety procedures).
• Ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed to provide a safe working environment for employees.
• Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other external partners to negotiate favorable terms and ensure supply chain efficiency.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The incumbent must be at the SVP of Operations, Brand Officer, or President level to receive consideration for this opportunity. QSR experience essential.
15 – 30 years of multi-unit restaurant operations leadership experience with full P&L responsibility for a 200+ million in revenue, a track record of increasing same store sales growth, leading 2,500 - 3,000 employees. Your scope of leadership management experience and track record needs to be able to support this level of responsibility to receive consideration.
