Social Media Style Coordinator
Legacy fast fashion company based in Brooklyn, NY is looking for a Fashion Stylist Coordinator with a passion for creativity and all things fashion! Rainbow Shops is a lifestyle brand offering on-trend styles ranging from clothing, shoes and accessories for women, plus size and kids.
This entry-level role supports the eComm Director in our Brooklyn studio. You will be assisting with the daily management of physical and digital product samples, PR editorial and gifting requests in addition to preparing for weekly and seasonal campaign shoots. The ideal candidate will have an impeccable fashion sense, be eager to learn our styling techniques and aesthetic and work closely with our styling team to bring Rainbow products to life.
Responsibilities include:
● Assist with organization and preparation for shoot days (i.e. steaming, organizing accessories and shoes, keeping shooting area clean)
● Assist with dressing models and accessorizing during in-house and on location shoots.
● Organize the styling closet. On a regular cadence, review style closet samples to identify replenishments and samples eligible for removal
● Research seasonal trends reports Marketing/PR/Social Media
● Assist Director in tracking and preparing samples for photography
● Place and manage sample orders for PR requests and marketing assets.
● Update seasonal style guides
Qualifications:
● 1+ year fashion styling experience - on-figure & still life
● Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing, e-commerce setting and respond to change with positive attitude; communicate effectively and collaborate well with team members a must
● Exceptional work ethic and organizational skills, along with a keen eye for detail
● Willingness to travel as needed to shoot locations when applicable (NYC based with 1 shoot in CA)
● Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
● Comfortable in an office environment, both working at a computer and doing physical activity (e.g., unpacking boxes, moving sample racks).
● Able to lift packages of up to 25lbs
● Knowledge of merchandising and technical aspects of merchandising (e.g., fabric, design, silhouettes, etc.)
● You're obsessed with what's happening in the fashion industry: you know the hottest retailers and you follow fashion influencers.
