Sugar Mountain is seeking a Social Media Strategist who will be responsible for content creation, planning, and communication across all social media platforms for Sugar Mountain brands including (but not limited to) Beecher's Handmade Cheese, Mishima Reserve, and The Butcher's Table. The ideal candidate is data driven, highly collaborative, an expert communicator, and has a proven track record of building audience reach and engagement.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor Sugar Mountain brands across platforms (Meta, X, YouTube, etc.), maintaining accurate brand information and brand-appropriate storytelling.
- Manage social media marketing campaigns, including content creation (images, video, and written), advocacy, cross-promotion, and associated KPIs.
- Shape and execute social media calendars and campaigns aligned with strategic goals, adjusting based on metrics and testing.
- Survey social media trends, tools, and best practices, applying them as needed to optimize strategy and results.
- Identify and report threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the business units.
- Utilize effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results.
- Employ winning customer service techniques in user communications; Identify potential negative or crisis situations and support resolution
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, film, journalism, communications, or related field preferred, with 2+ years of experience in content creation and managing brand-driven social media.
- Strong skills in photography, creative direction, and storytelling (written and visual); food styling is a plus.
- Solid understanding of social media platforms and best practices, with the ability to manage multiple programs effectively.
- Team player with a strong grasp of industry tools, who is quick to learn new technologies, and is adaptable in fast-paced environments.
- Bonus: Mid-level Adobe Creative Suite skills.

Compensation
The starting salary range for this position is between $65,000 - $75,000 per year, plus an annual bonus plan. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
