The Senior Director of Events Marketing role at ADP is a strategic leadership position responsible for defining and executing the overall event strategy specifically for ADP’s Compliance Solutions business unit. This role requires a seasoned marketing professional with extensive experience in managing a large volume of events, including sponsorship of industry and partner-led events as well as ADP-led events. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Compliance Solutions Marketing, the Senior Director will lead a small team focused on delivering exceptional event experiences from concept to completion. The events portfolio encompasses a diverse range of activities such as location scouting, theme and design creation, content strategy, promotional giveaways, lead routing, and comprehensive success tracking and reporting.
This leadership position is critical in aligning event strategies with the company’s business goals, audience engagement, pipeline development, and sponsorship objectives. The candidate will work closely with various teams including sales, marketing, brand, product marketing, and demand marketing operations to ensure all aspects of event planning and execution are coordinated and optimized for maximum return on investment. The Senior Director will act as a “theme steward,” overseeing the consistency of event content, communications, signage, and multimedia materials to create a cohesive and memorable experience. The role also includes managing speaker logistics, collaborating on keynote speaker selections, and fostering strong partnerships with both internal stakeholders and external agency partners.
This position requires a strategic thinker with superior communication, project management, and interpersonal skills who can thrive in a matrixed organizational environment. A proven track record of successfully managing large-scale tech industry events, combined with expertise in event development, production, and tools such as project and workflow management software, budgeting, AI, and Microsoft Office, is essential. The role demands a dynamic leader who can drive program innovation, solve complex problems, manage cross-functional teams, and confidently present to executive audiences.
The compensation for this role ranges from USD 98,000 to USD 198,800 annually, with variations based on location, skills, and relevant experience. Additional compensation may include bonuses, equity, or commissions. - Bachelors degree in business administration, management, marketing or related field
- 15 years or more of event marketing and management experience
- Experience with event development and production
- Proven collaboration skills in a matrixed environment
- Knowledge of HCM products beneficial
- Experience with content development or programming preferred
- Extensive experience with project and workflow management tools, budgeting, AI, design, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and presentation skills
