About the Role

AFG Distribution is looking for a Social Media Marketing Coordinator to join our team! We're looking for someone who is creative, organized, detail-oriented, and excited to get hands-on experience across several areas of digital marketing.

This position will primarily focus on managing social media for our brands, Pulsar, SeshGear, and Shire Pipes, along with supporting AFG Distribution's overall social media presence and executing email marketing campaigns.

You'll work closely with our Marketing Manager, as well as our photography, videography, and graphic design teams, to keep content and campaigns moving.

We're a busy marketing department with a lot of projects happening at once, so we're looking for someone who can stay organized, take initiative, and manage their responsibilities without needing constant direction.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both the creative and behind-the-scenes sides of marketing. You'll have ownership over your day-to-day work, the resources of an established creative team, and opportunities to learn more about paid advertising and overall marketing strategy.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll help manage the day-to-day execution of our marketing efforts, with a primary focus on social media content and email campaigns. Each brand has its own audience and personality, so being able to keep content organized, execute campaigns accurately, and maintain consistency across our brands is important.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Posting on the social accounts for all brands, including executing, scheduling, and publishing content.
  • Creating and maintaining social media content calendars.
  • Creating and publishing content for Instagram, including Reels, Stories, feed posts, and other formats.
  • Executing email marketing campaigns, including preparing, scheduling, testing, and sending campaigns according to established marketing calendars.
  • Working with our photography, videography, and graphic design teams to coordinate content needs and make sure assets are ready on time.
  • Capturing and editing your own photos and videos when needed, particularly for more casual or timely social content.
  • Writing captions and marketing copy that match each brand's voice.
  • Keeping social stories active and engaging.
  • Monitoring and responding to comments, direct messages, and other social media interactions.
  • Staying up to date on social media trends and finding ways to incorporate relevant ideas into our content.
  • Tracking social media and campaign performance and helping identify what's working and what could be improved.
  • Supporting product launches, promotions, and other marketing initiatives across our brands.
  • Keeping content calendars, campaign schedules, and marketing assets organized to ensure projects stay on track.

We're looking for someone who can do more than just schedule posts. We want someone who enjoys creating content, understands what makes marketing engaging, and can reliably execute campaigns while keeping the moving pieces organized.

Paid Advertising

We'd also like this person to understand the paid advertising side of our business.

Because of the industry we operate in, running digital ads comes with some unique challenges and restrictions. Our Marketing Manager will provide training on how we approach paid advertising, including creative development, platform policies, campaign setup, and performance tracking.

As you become more comfortable, you'll have opportunities to help prepare ad creative, support campaign execution, and take on additional responsibilities.

General Marketing Support

As part of a small marketing team managing multiple brands, you'll also help keep projects organized and on track.

This includes

  • Working with the Marketing Manager and teams to execute planned marketing initiatives.
  • Keeping track of deadlines, content requests, and upcoming campaigns.
  • Communicating with our internal creative team to make sure projects move forward.
  • Helping coordinate marketing efforts surrounding new product launches.
  • Keeping marketing assets and project information organized.
  • Making sure content and campaigns are consistent with each brand's identity.
  • Jumping in on other marketing projects as needed.

What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who has a good creative eye, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage several moving pieces at once.

Ideally, you have

  • Experience managing social media accounts for a business or brand.
  • A solid understanding of Meta Business Suite, X, YouTube, and other major social media platforms, and what makes content perform well.
  • Experience creating and editing social media content.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to adjust your tone for different audiences.
  • Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep up with multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with others.
  • A genuine interest in marketing, content creation, and growing your skills.

A Plus, But Not Required

  • Experience with Klaviyo or another email marketing platform.
  • Experience working with e-commerce brands.
  • Basic photography or video editing skills.
  • Experience managing social media for multiple brands.

What It's Like Working With Our Team

Our marketing team works across several brands, so there's always something new happening. One day you might be coordinating content for a new product launch, the next you're creating Reels for one of our Instagram accounts or helping execute an email campaign.

You'll have access to an in-house creative team and will work directly with our Marketing Manager. We'll provide guidance, feedback, and training, but we're also looking for someone who can become confident managing their own projects and daily responsibilities.

We value creativity, attention to detail, open communication, and people who take initiative. We want someone who isn't afraid to share ideas, ask questions, and find better ways of doing things.

This position offers the chance to gain experience across social media, email marketing, content production, and paid advertising while contributing directly to the growth of several established brands, all while navigating a restricted space.

Please submit your resume and, if available, examples of your work. We'd love to see social media accounts you've managed, content you've created, or any other marketing projects that show us your experience and creative style.

We look forward to hearing from you!
