Alsies of Montclair is an ice cream truck business built around bringing joy to communities, families, and events. We are in our early growth state, and we are looking for a positive, outgoing and motivated individual who wants to learn, contribute, and grow alongside a small business.
We’re looking for a positive, outgoing, and motivated Marketing & Events Coordinator who enjoys connecting with people, supporting events, and helping a small business grow from the ground up.
About the Role
We are seeking a Marketing & Event Coordinator to help us connect with schools, families, businesses, and community organizations. You will help introduce our ice cream experience to potential clients and assist with booking events.
Because we are a growing business, income may vary month to month. This role is commission-based, meaning earnings are tied to booked and completed events. We value transparency and want candidates who understand that growth takes time — and that there is real opportunity to grow as the business grows.
What You’ll Do
- Reach out to schools, camps, local businesses, and event organizers
- Respond to inquiries and follow up with potential clients
- Help book and coordinate events
- Support local marketing and community outreach
- Keep simple records of leads and bookings
How Compensation Works
Compensation Options
1. Hourly Pay
- $20/hour
- Expected to book, manage, and ensure payment for events.
- Marketing & promotion iniciatvirs
- Steady hourly earnings regardless of event revenue.
2. Commission-Based Pay
- Earn 15% commission on net revenue for events you personally source and book.
- Commission is paid after the event takes place and payment is received.
- Performance bonuses may also be offered based on total event volume or sales results.
- Income is variable and depends on booked events and their success.
