In this role, you’ll serve as the technical architect for a modern, privacy-first marketing technology ecosystem across our global digital storefront. You will move beyond platform administration to design innovative, high-scale solutions that connect data, platforms, and customer journeys. You’ll collaborate with world-class engineering and product teams to build the “connective tissue” of one of the world’s most iconic brands.
Description: As a Marketing Technology Operations Manager, you will lead the technical strategy and backend implementation of our global MarTech infrastructure. You’ll ensure the ecosystem is scalable, integrated via robust APIs, and engineered with Privacy-by-Design at its core. Your work will directly enable the seamless, high-performance data flows required for impactful customer experiences worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect the Tech Stack: Lead the technical strategy and continuous evolution of a global, unified MarTech ecosystem.
- Engineering Partnership: Partner with engineering and product teams to design and deliver server-side and API-driven marketing solutions.
- Automate Data Flows: Architect and optimize automated ETL/ELT pipelines, data integrations, and REST/GraphQL APIs to ensure a high-fidelity “Source of Truth”.
- Privacy Engineering: Implement infrastructure-level privacy controls, including ITP/ATT mitigation and granular consent management systems.
- Systems Optimization: Optimize platform performance through custom scripting (Python/JavaScript) and configuration to ensure global reliability.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Software Engineering) or equivalent practical engineering experience.
- 7+ years of experience architecting marketing technology platforms, complex integrations, or enterprise data systems.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level experience with data architecture, automated ETL processes, and production-grade SQL.
- API Integration: Proven experience implementing and managing API-based integrations between large-scale enterprise platforms.
- Privacy-First Mindset: Deep understanding of data privacy (GDPR/CCPA), ITP/ATT, and implementing governance at the infrastructure level.
- Technical Translation: Ability to translate complex business needs into scalable technical specifications for engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading the technical architecture of enterprise-scale MarTech or Customer Data Platforms (CDP).
- Cloud Infrastructure: Expertise with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift) and modern analytics environments.
- Privacy-by-Design: Demonstrated experience implementing server-side tracking and privacy-centric data minimization solutions.
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to influence senior technical and business leaders on long-term architectural roadmaps.
- Certifications: Technical certifications in cloud architecture (AWS/GCP), data engineering, or enterprise MarTech platforms.
Please note this is a hybrid role in Culver City, CA. You must be able to work 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 2 days remote (Monday and Friday).
