The role of Americas Client Business Event Specialist is a highly strategic and dynamic position within BlackRock's Global Event Marketing team, based in New York, New York. This team is integral to the firm's mission to deliver exceptional, experience-led events that support commercial and reputational objectives. The Americas Client Business Event Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing a calendar of mid to high-complexity events across the Americas region, collaborating closely with multiple business stakeholders to design tailored event strategies that align with specific business priorities.
Specifically, this role involves overseeing all stages of event planning and execution including content creation, venue management, budget oversight, and post-event analysis. The specialist will lead cross-functional working groups, ensuring events are innovative, engaging, and impactful while maintaining alignment with overall business goals. A key responsibility is to develop comprehensive event briefs that reflect the commercial priorities of the business units, serving as blueprints for event content and experiential activation development.
This position demands a highly proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment and is comfortable navigating complex organizational structures. The specialist must possess strong project management skills, the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders, and excellent communication capabilities. Candidates will be expected to travel up to 30% for in-person event activations across the Americas.
The role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,750 to USD 100,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, retirement plans, leave benefits, tuition reimbursement, and flexible time off. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum three years of relevant event marketing or experiential activation experience
- Proven project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders at various organizational levels
- Willingness to travel approximately 30 percent for in-person events
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event technology platforms
