Overview
The Vice President of CBS Sports Marketing Creative Content will drive the narrative and visual storytelling for CBS Sports marketing, shaping how our biggest events, franchises, and moments come to life across platforms. This role owns conceptual creative development from ideation through execution–defining campaign strategy, messaging, and brand voice while partnering closely with marketing, production, and senior leadership. The ideal candidate is a hands-on creative leader and exceptional storyteller with deep sports knowledge, strong instincts, and the ability to inspire teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver compelling campaigns that drive audience engagement and viewership.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Lead the narrative and visual strategy for marketing campaigns across CBS Sports’ largest events and franchises including the NFL, PGA Tour, PGA of America, the Masters, NWSL, NCAA March Madness, men’s and women's college basketball and college football, Army –Navy, and more.
- Own end-to-end conceptual creative development, including campaign ideation, messaging, and storytelling frameworks
- Define and oversee the creative and promotional voice across all platforms (linear, digital and social), ensuring a consistent, compelling brand expression
- Craft stories for weekly, seasonal, and marquee event campaigns that drive audience engagement and viewership
- Partner with marketing leads to help set promotional priorities, determining which sports events are featured and how they are positioned
- Present and pitch creative concepts to senior leadership, leagues, conferences, and key internal and external partners
- Develop overarching campaign themes and creative roadmaps across the sports marketing portfolio
- Serve as a key liaison across production, marketing, sales, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution
- Collaborate closely with internal creative teams to uphold creative excellence, alignment, and executional consistency
- Mentor, manage, and develop junior creative team members, fostering growth, accountability, and creative excellence
- Review and approve weekly promotional assets across all platforms
Basic Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in sports marketing, creative content, or a related field
- Experience as a writer/ producer
- A track record of leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing creative teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and creative excellence.
- Deep knowledge of–and passion for–sports, leagues, and storytelling within the sports landscape
