The organization provides facility and property services across healthcare, education, and commercial verticals. The organization is seeking a fractional Chief Marketing Officer (approx. 10–20 hours/week) to lead go-to-market and marketing strategy and to build a roadmap to scale the business unit to a substantially larger revenue run rate. This role is strategic and hands-on, focused on growth, cross-selling across service lines, and establishing executive-level marketing leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of the go-to-market strategy for facility and property service lines across targeted verticals (healthcare, education, commercial).
  • Define and implement the overarching marketing department strategy and operating model.
  • Drive cross-selling initiatives and programs to increase wallet share across service lines.
  • Build a scaling roadmap and measurable growth plan to move the business unit from current mid-market revenue toward a substantially larger run rate, with deliverables and milestones in the coming months.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and field operations to align sales, marketing, and service delivery.
  • Establish KPIs, reporting, and marketing ROI measurement to inform decision-making.
  • Provide hands-on support for high-priority campaigns, positioning, and messaging where needed.
  • Advise on and help implement infrastructure and processes for fractional engagements, compliance, and contractor (1099) coordination as required.
  • Mentor and partner with existing marketing leadership (e.g., marketing director) to elevate team capability and execution.

Qualifications

  • Senior enterprise-level CMO or equivalent experience leading marketing at scale, with a proven record of scaling mid-market businesses into larger organizations.
  • Deep B2B go-to-market expertise and experience driving cross-selling and integrated solutions selling.
  • Relevant experience in service-oriented industries (facility services, property services, commercial real estate, or similar) preferred.
  • Hands-on balance of strategy and execution; comfortable leading high-level vision and rolling up sleeves on tactical initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to build roadmaps and measurable plans that drive significant revenue growth.
  • Experience working with executive teams and field operations in complex, multi-geography organizations.
  • Comfortable working as a fractional/part-time leader (approx. 10–20 hours/week) with the ability to start soon and deliver a roadmap in the coming months.
  • Experience or willingness to help design governance and compliance processes for fractional engagements and contractor (1099) coordination is a plus.

This is a hybrid role with a state-level presence expected.
