The Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, Carrier Clinic Chair, Psychiatry, Chair is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality clinical services within their oversight. These services should effectively meet the needs of the healthcare populations served. This role requires knowledge of and compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, State, and other regulatory and accrediting agencies. The VP, CMO, CC/Chr, Psychiatry, C provides clinical leadership and advice to the President, Chief Hospital Executive, Central Region President, CTS EVP Behavioral Health, Board of Trustees, and others on clinical affairs, quality metrics, and education. Additionally, they will promote the Carrier Clinic and 'Carrier Behavioral Health' brand nationally and statewide, alongside the President and Chief Hospital Executive. Leadership responsibilities also include oversight of the Vice Chair, Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health. Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: MD or DO degree, graduate of an ACGME-approved residency in Psychiatry, with a minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience. Ability to analyze financial reports, legal documents, journals, and technical procedures. Effective presentation skills for top management, public groups, and boards. Proficiency in working with statistics, probabilities, and applying percentages and ratios. Strong problem-solving skills, capable of handling variables and interpreting instructions. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including mail merge, complex spreadsheets, calendar management, software installation, and database creation; ability to learn new programs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms. Licenses and Certifications Required: Controlled Substance License. Medical License. DEA Certification. Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Ongoing CME requirements per ABPN, CPR, First Aid, Handle W/ Care certifications. Valid driver’s license and eligibility for Carrier Clinic insurance coverage to operate clinic vehicles; may be required to operate such vehicles.
