Principal Marketing Manager, GEO
IntuitWe are seeking a visionary, high-impact Principal Marketing Manager, GEO to architect and lead our Generative Engine Optimization strategy for the Global Business Solutions Group (QuickBooks, Mailchimp, and Intuit Enterprise).
As a Principal, you are not just executing a roadmap; you are reimagining a holistic GEO strategy that ensures our brands are the most cited, trusted, and recommended platforms across the generative AI ecosystem (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Apple Intelligence). You will bridge the gap between technical infrastructure and commercial brand authority, acting as the primary organizational champion for 'Engine-Agnostic' discovery.
Responsibilities
- How You Will Lead
- Strategic Architecture: Define and lead the long-term GEO vision, aligning with cross-functional business unit leaders, holistic search, AI teams, and executive stakeholders.
- Technical Oversight: Provide deep technical management of site architecture, crawling/rendering for LLM ingestion, and platform migrations to ensure our digital properties are 'AI-ready.'
- Commercial Diplomacy: Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships with AI platforms and data aggregators to ensure our brand data is seamlessly integrated into the next generation of user intent.
- Advanced Optimization: Develop requirements for schema, multimedia, and Core Web Vitals specifically optimized for AI Overviews (AIOs) and LLM-driven responses.
- Innovation & Testing: Lead sitewide A/B and multivariate testing from concept to implementation, evangelizing 'test & learn' best practices across the organization.
- Executive Influence: Act as the primary subject matter expert for executive leadership, providing POVs on the shifting landscape of organic discovery and its impact on top-line business metrics (ROI, acquisition, and market share).
- Measurement Evolution: Partner with Data Science teams to build advanced attribution models that move beyond traditional traffic metrics to measure 'Share of Model' and brand sentiment within LLMs.
- Vendor & Agency Management: Inspire and manage high-value external agency partners and contractors to deliver world-class technical and strategic outcomes.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience: 7+ years of advanced experience in digital marketing, technical SEO, and strategic business development.
- GEO Expertise: At least 1+ years of hands-on experience specifically in GEO—optimizing for LLMs and AI search tools.
- Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in site architecture, schema markup, and tools such as BigQuery, Adobe Analytics, Screaming Frog, and specialized LLM measurement platforms (e.g., Profound, Scrunch).
- Strategic Mindset: A proven track record of managing large-scale programs where success is defined by revenue growth and market share rather than just vanity traffic metrics.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate 'at the right altitude,' influencing senior stakeholders and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Holistic Approach: Familiarity with PPC (Paid Search) and App Store Optimization (ASO) to ensure a unified 'Holistic Search' strategy.
- Education: BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Qualifications
- Brand Citation Share: Increase in brand mentions and recommendations within top-tier LLMs.
- Technical Readiness: Seamless execution of site architecture updates and technical schema for AI ingestion.
- Business Impact: Contribution to top-line acquisition and ROI through organic discovery channels.
- Organizational Maturity: Successful integration of GEO best practices across Product, Marketing, and Engineering workflows.
