Role Overview

Mackenzie Stuart is the search partner for a Multi-site Medical Aesthetics MSO that is seeking a strategic, hands-on Head of Marketing to build and lead the company’s marketing function across its corporate platform and practice brands. This role will own brand strategy, physician recruitment marketing, patient acquisition, communications, market intelligence, and marketing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute overall marketing strategy across corporate, practice, physician recruitment, and patient acquisition initiatives.
  • Define positioning, messaging, target audiences, brand identity, and brand standards across its practice brands.
  • Lead physician recruitment marketing, including value proposition development, content, events, thought leadership, and conference presence.
  • Own patient acquisition programs across paid search and social, SEO, local marketing, email, social media, reviews, and re-engagement.
  • Build scalable local marketing playbooks to support practice teams, new openings, and service-line launches.
  • Track full-funnel performance from campaign activity through booked appointments, using data to optimize spend and growth.
  • Lead external communications, public relations, social media, thought leadership, and employer brand initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, patient behavior, physician insights, and developments in aesthetic medicine.
  • Manage the marketing budget, technology stack, reporting, and ROI measurement.
  • Hire and lead internal marketing talent and external agency, freelance, and creative partners.
  • Partner closely with the CEO, Director of Business Development, Founding Physician, Practice Managers, and practice teams to align marketing with business and clinical priorities.

Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience with a record of driving brand awareness, customer or physician acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Experience owning both brand strategy and performance marketing.
  • Background in a multi-brand, multi-location, or multi-market organization.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to build attribution models, interpret data, and communicate insights to non-marketing stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Highly autonomous and comfortable building marketing functions, processes, and teams from the ground up.

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare, aesthetic medicine, plastic surgery, dermatology, or a regulated consumer health or wellness category.
  • Experience marketing to physicians or other highly credentialed professional audiences.
  • Background in a PE-backed, founder-led, or high-growth organization.
  • Familiarity with the plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine landscape.
  • Experience hiring and managing marketing teams or agency networks.
