Digital Marketing Contractor

PEPS is seeking an experienced digital marketing professional to provide contract support for the production and

execution of external communications. The contractor will create and deploy content that’s engaging, informative,

and inspiring across PEPS social media, email, website, and video channels. Our ideal candidate is someone who

loves telling stories, knows how to connect with parents, and gets what PEPS is all about and where we're headed.

Scope of Services

The contractor will provide support in the following areas:

• Promote the PEPS mission, programs, events, resources, and advocacy through digital marketing channels
• Create and schedule inclusive and engaging social media content including posts, ads, and short-form videos, while maintaining brand consistency across platforms
• Develop and deploy informative and relevant content in monthly email newsletters
• Make routine edits, uploads, and updates to the PEPS website and YouTube channel
• Maintain communications, editorial, and social media calendar in line with organizational priorities.
• Track content performance and provide insights and recommendations to improve engagement and marketing results
• Meet with PEPS Staff as needed to coordinate deliverables, gather content and information, and align work with upcoming priorities and campaigns
• Apply equity, inclusion, and accessibility practices across deliverables

Experience and Competencies

• Two or more years of professional experience creating digital content with measurable results across multiple platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube) in a digital marketing, social media, or communications role.
• Demonstrated experience with Facebook Creator Studio, Canva, and HubSpot
• Experience with video platforms and video editing tools preferred (e.g., YouTube and CapCut)
• Technical proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Experience creating digital communications with an equity and accessibility lens
• Skilled at producing clear, compelling, and accessible writing
• Ability to communicate proactively and meet agreed-upon deadlines with reliability, responsiveness, and attention to detail
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate PEPS mission, voice, programs, and impact
• Ability to leverage technology to organize, streamline, and improve processes

Requirements

• Contractor must reside and work out of King, Snohomish, or Pierce County.
• Contractor must provide their own laptop and standard business equipment and software. PEPS will provide access to PEPS-specific accounts and platforms needed to complete work.

Contract Terms and Compensation

This independent contractor engagement is anticipated to average 10-15 hours per week. Services will be provided primarily remotely with occasional in-person meetings or activities as mutually agreed upon.

The expected compensation range for this hourly contract role is $27-$31/hour, based on qualifications and experience. This is an independent contractor engagement and is not a PEPS staff position.

The contractor is responsible for applicable taxes, insurance, and other obligations associated with self-employment.
