Vice President, Marketing and Content
Marketing and Content In Office at Boyce Plaza Reports to Kelly DeAngelo, President and Chief Operating Officer
Is This You
- Someone who has already driven massive growth for a business through digital content, and can show the leads, the customers and the revenue it produced?
- A leader who can take one founder's voice, two capital raisers, a corporate brand and three operating companies and turn them into one engine with one calendar?
- Comfortable being judged on investor meetings booked, borrowers funded and clients signed, not on follower counts?
- Someone who builds with AI first, automates everything a person is doing twice, and treats customer acquisition cost as a number you own?
- Energized by building the media arm of a company that intends to raise $50 million next year and more every year after, and to be the best known business builders in Pittsburgh?
About The Role
SteelPoint Capital Holdings is a Pittsburgh based private capital platform. We raise capital from investors andput it to work through Local First Lending, our real estate portfolio, CityLife, and the entrepreneurs we back.
We run on EOS. In 2027 we launch a new investment fund and Never Perfect Golf, and we intend to become the most recognized business builders in Pittsburgh.
The Vice President of Marketing and Content reports to Kelly DeAngelo, President and Chief Operating Officer. You are responsible for the overall performance of marketing, content, lead generation and brand across the platform. All of it. You decide the right mix of in house team and outside vendors, you own the budget, and you own the number: leads in the door, customer acquisition cost, and an online presence that is everywhere our investors, borrowers and clients already are.
You work with Casey Quinn, our founder and the face of the organization, every week. Casey is on camera every day, hosts three weekly shows under the Never Perfect brand, and is the center of a personal brand program with a small team already behind it. You inherit that momentum and a production stack, and you build the rest. The team, the vendors and the budget are discussed in detail during the interview process.
Where the seat goes next is up to the person in it: the content function is built to become Never Perfect Media, a portfolio company in its own right, and the person who builds it is the person who runs it.
What You'll Own
Growth Through Content
- Own the content and brand strategy for the platform: one positioning, one editorial calendar, a distinctvoice for the founder, the capital raising team, the corporate brand and each operating company.
- Build an omnipresent online brand: daily on every platform, three weekly podcasts, a weekly webinar series, a newsletter that becomes the owned audience, and a repurposing system that turns every longform piece into a library of short form.
- Own the number. Investor leads and meetings for the capital raise. Borrowers for Local First Lending.
Clients for CityLife Contracting, and a brand our tenant base of more than 1,000 leases recognizes. Eachwith a scorecard, a budget and a monthly report in that company's own numbers. Strategic marketingsupport for the entrepreneurs we invest in, such as Accruity and Provato.
AI, Automation and Acquisition Cost
- Build the content and lead engine AI first: ideation, drafting, repurposing, scheduling, reporting and follow up automated wherever a person is doing the same thing twice.
- Own customer acquisition cost by company and by channel, and drive it down every quarter.
- Own the content stack and its integration with our customer relationship system so every lead has a source, an owner and a next step.
Team and Vendors
- Decide the right mix of in house team and outside vendors and manage both to a standard: clear briefs, deadlines, documented playbooks, and a handover date for anything moving in house.
- Lead the marketing team and build it as results earn it: the founder brand team you inherit and the content, operations and paid media seats you add.
- Run the weekly marketing Level 10 meeting and the scorecards for every seat. Hold the quality bar on everything that goes out.
Brand and Recognition
- Steward the Never Perfect brand across the podcast, its shows and Never Perfect Golf, and the
SteelPoint corporate brand across steelpointcapital.net, the newsletter and the investor community.
- Own the Pittsburgh recognition plan: press, stages, awards, the Duquesne University partnership and our investor events.
- Keep every investor facing piece inside the guardrails set by securities counsel. No performance promises, no offer terms outside approved materials.
Who You Are
- You have done it. You have taken a brand or a business and driven real growth through digital content, and you can show the leads, customers and revenue it produced. We care less about how many years and more about what you have built.
- You have led a team and managed a budget and vendors, and you know when to hire and when to contract.
- You build with AI every day and you can show us the workflows you have automated and what they saved.
- You are a strong writer and editor with a sharp eye for what performs on every platform.
- You understand investor facing and business to business marketing, or you can learn it fast. Financial services, real estate or professional services experience is a plus, not a requirement.
- You lead with urgency and standards. Predictive Index profiles such as Captain, Strategist or Maverick with strong follow through are typical of people who thrive in this seat.
- You are comfortable in a company that runs on EOS, working with a visionary founder, pushing back when needed and executing fast once the call is made.
People who thrive here often come from a head of content or growth seat at a founder led company that they helped make known, a content director at an agency who ran a book of clients and wants to build one thing instead, or a creator or operator who built an audience and turned it into a business.
Why Join Us
- You will build the marketing and content function of a growing private capital platform from the first hire up, working with the founder every day.• Your work ties directly to a $50 million capital raise, to the growth of three operating companies, and to a brand that is becoming its own company.
- You inherit real momentum: a podcast with a following, a founder who is on camera every day, a small team and a production stack already in place.
- Authority to hire, a real budget, and a company that runs on EOS.
- Health, dental and vision benefits, paid time off and a team that will have your back.
Compensation
Base salary of $150,000 to $200,000 depending on experience and track record, plus a performance bonus tied to investor leads and meetings, operating company leads and the growth of the owned audience. The full bonus plan is shared during the interview process.
Our Core Values
Let's Go!: Action, action, action. Progress over perfection. Focus on priorities.
Extreme Ownership: Say it, do it. Learn fast, fix faster. Results matter, always.
We Got Your Back: 1+1 > 2. Serve instead of being served. Thoughtfully challenge.
Lead with Heart: Respect, care, and compassion. Authentic and genuine. Contagious positivity.
If you have ever watched a founder's story reach the wrong audience, or a great company go unknown in its own city, and thought, I could fix that, we want to meet you. This is not a seat for someone who wants to manage a content calendar. This is the seat for someone who wants to build a media company inside a capital platform and then run it.
Experience
- A track record of growth driven by digital content, shown in numbers.
- Leadership of a team, a budget and outside vendors.
- Hands on with AI tools, video, social, email, webinars and a customer relationship system.
- A degree is not required. Results are.
