Half the job is marketing operations: the systems, processes, and infrastructure that let the team execute efficiently (tooling administration, vendor operations, reporting, workflow design). The other half is program/project management: building project plans, running cross-functional standups, tracking deliverables to completion, and defining and measuring what success looks like for major initiatives. The person in this role is the connective tissue across the marketing org, the one who can tell you, at any point, what's in flight, who owns it, what's at risk, and whether it's working. This is not a role for someone who wants to specialize narrowly in either ops administration or project coordination alone. Portfolio & Project Management Build and maintain project plans for major cross-functional marketing initiatives (product launches, campaigns, executive events, partner programs), with clear milestones, owners, and dependencies Run recurring cross-functional standups and check-ins for shared projects, keeping stakeholders aligned and unblocked Identify risks and bottlenecks early, and escalate or resolve them before they threaten a deadline Partner with initiative owners (Brand, Content, PMM, Revenue Marketing, PR) to define success criteria up front, and build the tracking to measure against it after launch Maintain a rolling view of marketing's full project portfolio for the SVP of Marketing and leadership team: what's active, what's coming, where the capacity constraints are Marketing Operations Own and administer core marketing systems and tools (project management platforms, marketing automation/CRM touchpoints as applicable, reporting dashboards) Manage marketing budget tracking, vendor onboarding/contracts administration, and purchase order workflows Design and maintain repeatable operating processes: campaign intake, creative request workflows, approval chains, content calendars Build and maintain reporting on marketing performance and operational health for leadership and board-level updates Serve as the process owner for how work enters the marketing org and how it's prioritized across competing demands Cross-Functional Partnership Work closely with Brand/Creative, Content/Communications, Revenue Marketing/Events, and Product Marketing leads to understand upcoming needs and build realistic plans around them Partner with Sales, Product, and Executive teams on marketing's role in cross-org initiatives (e.g., Serve as a dotted line to revenue operations to stay up to date on technology, workflows, and shared success outcomes Act as a trusted operator for the SVP of Marketing, someone who can take a half-formed initiative and turn it into a structured, trackable plan without needing heavy hand-holding 4-7 years of experience in marketing operations, marketing project/program management, or a hybrid of both, ideally in B2B SaaS or a similarly fast-moving environment ~ Demonstrated ownership of project management tooling (Monday.Experience running cross-functional standups or working sessions with stakeholders across brand, content, product marketing, and revenue marketing ~ Comfort building project plans from scratch for ambiguous, multi-stakeholder initiatives, and driving them to completion without direct authority over the people involved ~ Operational fluency: budget tracking, vendor management, process design, and reporting infrastructure ~ A systems-thinking mindset: someone who sees how the pieces of a marketing org connect and builds processes that scale, rather than one-off fixes ~ able to translate status and risk clearly for both individual contributors and executive stakeholders ~ Bias toward structure and follow-through: this person creates order in ambiguity rather than waiting for it to be handed to them PMP, Agile/Scrum, or similar project management certification Experience supporting executive-level events or major public launches (product, brand, or category launches) Familiarity with marketing automat
