Your Role
As the Senior Director of Field Marketing and Demand Generation, you will be pivotal in steering Teradata's field marketing strategy, transforming it from an events-driven model to a pipeline accountability powerhouse. This role encompasses oversight of our marketing operations globally, ensuring both enterprise and emerging mid-market go-to-market approaches are effectively supported.
You will lead a team of talented field marketing directors and specialists, driving significant pipeline contributions through a well-rounded approach that includes field events, digital initiatives, and account-based marketing aligned with sales goals, product launches, and growth objectives.
This is an influential leadership role reporting to the SVP of Worldwide Revenue Strategy & Operations. Success in this position hinges on:
- Formulating a cohesive global field marketing strategy that generates measurable pipeline contributions across various segments.
- Shifting the focus of the field marketing model from event-centric impacts to a multi-channel demand generation approach.
- Establishing a robust account-based marketing (ABM) capability aimed at expanding within existing enterprise accounts and attracting new mid-market clients.
- Creating a dependable pipeline measurement framework in conjunction with Revenue Operations.
- Charting the field marketing strategy for mid-market growth.
- Leading a diverse team of 10-15 marketing professionals across regions, prioritizing talent development and accountability.
- Developing an operational rhythm to systematically align marketing efforts with sales priorities and product launches.
- Partnering with various teams to leverage digital channels for effective demand generation.
- Implementing operational improvements within the first 90 days, enhancing reporting and pipeline visibility.
Collaborative Environment
- Work closely with senior leadership across Teradata Sales, Revenue Operations, Product Marketing, and Brand Communications.
- Serve as a key player in the go-to-market organization, influencing strategy and alignment with sales objectives.
- Engage with sales unit leaders across the globe to ensure effective marketing integration in unit-level planning and execution.
- Collaborate with corporate marketing on brand alignment and global campaign integration.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 12 years of B2B marketing experience, including over 5 years in leadership roles focused on field marketing or demand generation in the tech sector.
- Proven leadership in building and developing cross-region marketing teams.
- History of driving measurable pipeline contributions through effective marketing programs.
- Expertise in implementing account-based marketing strategies.
- Strong proficiency with marketing automation and CRM systems.
- Experience in a matrixed organization aligning marketing strategies with multiple sales and product teams.
- Capable of developing pipeline measurement frameworks and strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective influence across various organizational levels.
- Background in supporting enterprise and mid-market sales motions, understanding their unique needs.
- Foundational knowledge of data analytics, cloud, and AI/ML concepts to effectively convey product value.

Pay Rate: 169400.0000 - 211700.0000 - 254100.0000 Annually
