Event Coordinator - Marketing & Premium Services
Texas Tech UniversityPlans, coordinates, publicizes, and implements special events, including social events, recognition celebrations, conferences, and meetings. Facilitates production of events by coordinating with performing groups, arranging publicity, and approving expenditures.
- Manages the City Bank Conference Center, Club Red, and other auxiliary space bookings. Coordinate events, create and issue room diagrams and event confirmation forms, track event expenses and create and manage billings for these areas. Work in coordination with venue catering and other providers to ensure client needs are met and the spaces prepared for use.
- Manage luxury suite holder relations. Manage suite preparation for special events, assist with suite holder needs during games and non-athletic events. Create and administer event reservation forms and ticket order forms for concerts and relevant events. Ensure that suites remain in good repair, reporting any maintenance issues to relevant parties.
- Manage venue social media, campus marquee, and various aspects of venue, concert and special event marketing, including e-blasts, TechAnnounce, web page maintenance and other marketing needs as assigned. Assist with marketing collateral design when needed.
- Assist with coordination and management of the United Supermarkets Arena events including commencements, athletic events, concerts, family shows, high school graduations, conventions and other special events. Serve as lead coordinator for designated athletic and non-athletic events. Consult with customers to determine objectives and requirements for designated events and communicate event needs to relevant campus partners and vendors.
- Responsible for overseeing strategic planning and annual report assessments for the department and assisting with producing other reports presentations as needed. Assists with or manages other projects as assigned.
Bachelor's degree plus one year related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience equal to five years.
