This role is about thinking, planning, creating and directing
You’ll work directly with the founder to design a scalable content system centered around YouTube long-form, supported by short-form, social distribution, and proof-based content (results, reviews, interviews).

How the Content System Works
You and the founder plan content together
Long-form YouTube is the primary driver
Shorts, images, and graphics are executed by an editor/designer (though if you have design skills that's a massive plus, but we already have 2 in-house video editors)
Content is planned in advance and built into a backlog
Strategy is informed by competitor analysis and performance data
You are responsible for clarity, structure, and direction, not doing everything yourself.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Co-developing the overall content strategy with the founder
Researching competitors and reverse-engineering what works
Defining content pillars, angles, and repeatable formats
Planning YouTube long-form topics and structure
Translating long-form ideas into short-form systems
Creating clear briefs for editors and designers
Reviewing content and raising quality through feedback
Helping build and maintain a structured content backlog
Who This Role Is For
This role is for someone who
Thinks in content systems, not one-off posts
Knows how short-form supports long-form, not replaces it
Can clearly explain why content works or doesn’t
You should be able to look at a competitor and say:
“This works because of X, here’s how we adapt it, and here’s what we avoid.”
Requirements
Proven experience directing or shaping social content
Strong understanding of YouTube, Shorts, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn
Ability to plan and critique long-form content
Clear creative judgment and taste
Experience working with editors or designers
Nice to Have
Experience with founder-led brands
Background in YouTube and Instagram
Experience building content calendars and backlogs
How to Apply
Do not send a generic CV.
Instead include
A short explanation of how you think about YouTube + short-form together
2–5 examples of accounts or content you’ve influenced creatively explaining what you did and the results
A brief breakdown of why one example worked and how you’d improve it
If you can’t clearly articulate your thinking, this role won’t be a fit.
